O.k. lads and lasses, I've found a pub for Sunday lunch, it's the Mucky Duck at Tismans Common. I've never eaten here but have popped in for a beer from time to time, so if the food's crap don't shoot me.
Ive taken the liberty of booking a table for 15 people at 12.30 subject to conformation tomorrow evening.
Be grateful if you could confirm numbers so that I can let the pub know.

Derek

P.S. If the good folk of Horsham thought that a mere tornado was a rude awakening, wait 'till Sunday

Glad I was able to make it for 1st part of this meet today and say "Hi" to a few of you

Big thanks also to the WH Smiths van driver who saw me taking a wrong turn into Horsham town centre, got out of his van which was at the traffic lights, and came and told me which way to go to find may mates

Shame about the damp weather, and the bloody Reliant Robin that led / held up the group of 10 TVR's all the way from Horsham to Guildford on the A281!

- hope u guys had a better drive after Guildford, and catch up with you again some time

Yeah, after Guildford we were able to really open 'em up.
The noise was fantastic!

You missed us doing circuits of the roundabout on the appraoch to Ash Vale... how any times did we go around? Certainly stopped any other traffic getting onto the roundabout for a good minute or so until a formation peel-off. lol.

The A281 is a nightmare though - it was a horsebox on the run back, although the guy did pull over after Bramley and let us all go.

See you again on the next run.

Alex, at least you missed ed's shortcut round the back of Godalming...very interesting. I think a few will be sending you bills for repairing their exhausts ed.

Thought I was gunna pass out going round that roundabout Colin

ed's co-pilot's neighbours must have had a rude awakening as we all piled up the road. LOL

Holy thread resurection and all that...!

I wonder if any of you chaps and chapesses still live in the area and still have TVR's? I'm in Horsham and have just bought a Tamora, quite fancy meeting up with some local owners over a pint.

I've got my Chim back into daily service now and haven't been to a TVR meet in years - I'm based in Purley, Surrey but work in Weybridge most days - anyone know which are the local meeting times/venues?

There's a TVRCC meet at the Black Swan, Wisley this Thursday if you are interested.

I believe MK1fan and I are going, (I'm a fallen member but that doesn't matter).

I have to confirm with Stuart but we will probably meet at 7.30pm in Dorking then take the country roads to the Mucky Duck.

I can confirm that Peter and I have been in e-mail contact to arrange meeting in Dorking. So when he doesn't show up this time the bureaucracy side of things is all in order. laugh

I meeting Tuscandani for the initial drive to Dorking. Danstable, I've mailed you the details of the Dorking meet point.

Tuscandani has coerced another Tuscan driver into coming to. KieS2 may be a passenger with me.

wavey Still a few Horsham TVRs about (including a couple who defected and then saw the light!). Yellow Cerb south of Horsham, should be easy to spot (but you'd think I was fkin invisible for the number of spots I get.)

Actually you just missed a Cerb (specific, with a couple of interlopers) meet at the Bolney Stage on Saturday. Happy to kick some local tyres if there is food involved wink

Well, that was a good evening.

5 of us met up in Dorking and I led the convoy of 5 to the Black Swan.

The less said about overshooting the venue the better smile

There were probably about 20 tivs in total over the evening so not too shabby.

Prize car there for most was the 1970 Tuscan still owned by its original owner, what a car!

I had a brilliant drive back, all country lanes, no cars and the realisation that my headlights are total crap!

Roll on the next one.
