We are tying out this paint at the mo, it realy goes on well and a near perfect match for the light grey chassis.
Good prep first with the matching primer 1st
Atlantic Grey is the Toplac color. Enamel Gloss finish
How durable is it compared to POR15 or Hammerite?
Up to now it's going good on the chassis, no rust bleeding through, goes on a treat, no brush marks, and brushes well in a cold garage !
It's been on now for 7months and haven't touched it up..
I have power washed it at close range,
And been out in it on the roads over Xmas with road salt and all ....
No stone chips through it
Up to now very impressed

Looking good Pete. Not put any paint around mine yet, but need to. Looking at RAL 7038 which I've tried and looks an ideal match (I've also mixed black and white smooth rite) but X's stuff looks fine and dandy.
Olli, your chassis looks a peach but that diff....... oh dear guess its on the 'to do' list
And for those on cold floors, get some insulated soft foam interlocking mats/tiles from Costco. They're very good, and cheap too.

Wow - looking fantastic! Whilst te Tuscan is off the road this year im planning similar - was going to use Epoxy Mastic 121 though....
Also have a new nuts and bolt set waiting to be electroless nickel plated too.
Think Aldi do the foam tiles too - v useful.
Those of you who have removed the wishbones - did you re-bush everything?
Im not keen on doing it all again as i did all the rear bushes 18 months ago!! (...and they are b!tch to change)
Thing is - you cant powder coat without removing although i guess shotblasting is possible.

Yes I replaced the bushes, not such a hard task, I burned them out with a plumbers blow torch, takes only a couple of minutes, this will leave only the outer sleeve of the bush in the wishbone, then I used a hacksaw to carefully make one cut through the sleeve, then just tap out from the wishbone, I used a socket with an od of slightly less than the Id of the wishbone. Also have a new nuts and bolt set waiting to be electroless nickel plated too.

Oh yeah, it's on the list for the next winter....this winter was too short ;-) You know, It's not so easy to remove the Diff without a lift. I've planned to replace the Hydratrak with a good quaife diff...and this would be the time to refurbish the case...new bushes are already here ;-)

Thanks for that - how did you press the new ones back in?? x works said:

I See you and Paul have fine painting skills Heath. Be careful, if Sue see's Paul's skills with a paint brush she will have him re-decorating the house, or even her new extension It's been on now for 7months and haven't touched it up..

Graham, you are the most crazy of us all...
That is indeed stunning....and why I stated my efforts were not up to 'Varley-esqe' comparison! In fact, now that I finished the work I set out to its the diff, diff mounting brackets and drive shafts that are letting mine down! Having removed, refurbed and replaced the diff on my Cerb in the past I'll be damned if I'm taking it out just to paint it!
