I have signed up for the 2014 Rally for Heroes taking place next June, driving through 11 countries in 8 days its going to be a fantastic experience that Sue and I are really looking forward to.

Apart from having a great driving holiday, the aim over the coming 12 months is to raise as much money as possible for the SAAFA, Sailors, Army Airmen and Families Association.
The SAAFA is one of the UK`S leading forces charities who provide support and assistance to more than 50,000 people, from D-Day veterans to young soldiers wounded in Afghanistan, supporting the Forces family for over 125 years, making them one of Britain's most trusted charities.

So the reason I am posting this on here is to ask the TVR contingent of Pistonheads if they would like to make a donation to this charity, the first thing you are probably thinking is "how much of my money is your Sag going to be drinking?"
The answer to that is not a single penny of any donation goes anywhere other than to the SAAFA, the costs of the rally, fuel, accommodation, ferry, the odd pint, is all paid for by me.yes

One of the conditions of signing up for the Rally for Heroes, is that each driver has to raise a minimum of £1000 for the charity, so you actually have to get up off your backside and get involved with the fundraising side of things over the next 12 months, rather than just turn up on the day and take part.

If you would like to know more about the Rally for Heroes all the information can be found on the website here, www.rallyforheroes.com plus details of how to take part in case you would like to enter yourself, or even enquire about sponsoring a vehicle as well.

If you would like to make a donation that would be fantastic, please use the following link,

Here are a few photos of my car with the rally livery on, a lot of space has been left for the sponsors livery to be added at a later date.

thanks for lookingthumbup

hi Tony, yes very pleased with them, they are normally in white, but the nice man at Alphasigns thought silver would look better with the colours of the car.

giving this a bump as the Rally is only 11 weeks away now, hoping a few people may feel it is a good cause and would like to make a donation.

well the rally starts next Friday from the top gear test track at Dunsfold, 50 cars driving nearly 3000 miles to raise awareness for SAAFA who look after our boys and girls in the armed services when bad st happens.

since signing up last May Sue and I have raised just under £2500, so please help to get us up to and even over the £2500 target.

please make your donation here, http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/CliveFord

100% of all donations to SAAFA.

thanks You.
