Does anyone have a source for a non conductive gear stick? Mine gets too hot

They only sell the one fitting for the T5 box but I've heard that a few can be a bit different. I bought one but couldn't get the old one out without damaging the selector as it was Araldited in. Probably worth you trying to get yours out before you invest in new and make sure the bottom fittings are the same.

If it's a relatively small run (ie less than say 50) of turning with internal and external threading, my father (precision engineer) might be able to help out. He's Cambs based - must get him to turn one up for my Tuscan!

I'd certainly be interested in giving one a try too but I think that ultimately we'll find we need a good heavy knob (already discussed a while ago by the usual suspects) otherwise the shift quality will be adversely affected and that tends to demand lovely, heavy heat-conducting metal. frown
