Having trawled through lots of threads, it seems that the headlamp reflectors for my Cerbera, Bosch part number 1 305 314 930, are no longer available.

The alternative Bosch part number, 1 305 314 929, is available and is still produced. From reading other threads the only difference is the location of the sidelight bulb. However, the part number given on here was shown as 1 305 324 929 so not sure if this is a typo error or not.

I have emailed Bosch in Germany where they make parts for classic cars and this is the reply with the contact details:

The 1 305 314 930 is out of stock.

The 1 305 314 929 is on stock here in Germany – and is still produced. You should be able to purchase this reflector at your local Bosch Service. See http://www.bosch-service.com for Bosch Services next to you. Sadly we’re not able to sell you this part directly.

Tomorrow I am hoping that Andrew Page motor factors (Bosch dealers) will be able to supply the reflectors but as they have never stocked it, may be a problem. I will let you all know, especially the price, but if anyone has any other info on these parts, this would help a lot.

Thanks, but not at £72.50 each! Plus p&p. Wow that is dear.

If I can get them through Bosch at a sensible price will let you know.

I purchased one in 2010 from Racetech TVR. The no. on the bosch box was
6 000 770 473.
Dont know if this helps, but the reflector was a perfect match for the damaged item, that i was replacing.

It may well be worth trying to scource this part no. and check if its a match for your original reflector.

Thanks.

There are 92 available in Germany but when the Bosch supplier in the UK tries to get them they are blocked as they have been for some 2 years.
Waiting for Bosch Germany to get back to me.

During the MoT the tester said the lights appeared a bit dim and looking into the glass we saw what we thought was rust and corrosion on the reflectors.
After taking them out I found it isn't rust, its overspray from when the car was repainted some years ago by a well known dealer.
So, if I can get a solvent that will take the burgundy paint off then I will have cracked it. I hope.

There is a thread on here listing where they sent them

See link below and there is a further link in the second from last post on page 2 for a re-chrome

If you can get them direct then I'd get as many as you can, money to be made. Magini aren't bad in comparison... check Racing Greens take on pricing

This is the latest reply from Bosch Germany:

"Seems that Bosch in GB does not have this part in their assortment. Have you tried to purchase it via Scania already?

Scania part numbers are:
· 258758 (for the ..930)
· 258757 (for the ..929)"

So, I will try Scania next and see.

Got a price of £180+p&p+vat from a re-chroming place in Kent so that is a non starter.

They had 2 left with a little bit of discount. After spending hours trying to locate them cheaper I just gave in and bought them. Should be here in the morning so thank you for that link, a LOT cheaper than some dealers.

Hello guys, sorry to resurrect an old thread but just a tip for anyone looking to change their reflectors, I've just replaced mine with part no. 1 305 314 929 and if you fit into place using the mounting tags on the new bowls as has been stated the sidelight position changes from bottom to top. No matter I thought, and bolted/stuck everything back into place. As it turns out the bowls are in fact upside down, as on dipped beam I'm illuminating treetops/the surface of the moon and on high beam it brings the beam down but I'm still blinding other drivers. The headlamps are fully adjusted down at present. I can't tell you all how excited I am to do that job again. Bugger!

It was me who originally sold those and stated that they could be fitted direct from out the box, what people never realised is i had already reset the positions.

But be warned trying to remove the silicon bungs to re-position them is a fine art that can easily render them useless.

Hi sonnylad, yep that's my plan, plenty of silicone spray and lots of care! Hopefully then it'll all be sorted. A shame really as the light output now is clearly very good. Never mind

All sorted. Carefully removed the bungs and moved them to the new position. More of a faff cleaning the silicone up and refitting the glass and cowl than anything

I don't suppose you have an image of the old (incorrect) and/or new (correct) position of the bungs?

Hi Jonathan, will try and get a picture demonstrating the correct position using my old headlight bowls when I get a minute. It is only one bung that needs to be moved, on part number ending 929 the 'top' one has to simply be moved to the bottom, its position cannot be mistaken as it is the hole between two horizontal slits along the bowl edge. The sides are correct and can be left alone.

So do you have wonderful headlights now?
Could you confirm for me, with the sidelight hole in the correct location (towards the bottom I think) there should be bungs near 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock and I should move the other from 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock?

Only 3,6 and 9 o'clock is needed.
