After a bit of discussion with a few people at the M3/Bagshot/Guildford/wherever-we-were meet last night, thought I'd see who was interested in a little countryside blast one Sunday...?

Have a nice route planned that I used once before for another car club before I had the TVR. About an hours drive, with a pub stop somewhere, then another hour back round to the start (almost) again. Lots of nice roads involved from what I remember when I did it.

Guess a show of hands to see who's interested, and maybe some dates to throw around for when we can hold it?

I'll start by suggesting Sunday 4th August? Not sure if this clashes with any big events, so let me know if it does!

Count me in, I passed a convoy of TVR's heading from the (now closed) Mongolian BBQ down passed the Maltway lastnight. I tried to catch up, but going around that roundabout with all the lights and getting stuck behind a rover, and being in a cold Cerbera, it proved a little too difficult. Where did you guys end up going? I headed towards Guildford as that has some nice roads, but alas I guess you all went a different way.

Cheers.

Royston, I saw you last night in your cerbera - shame you missed us - we had a good blast down to Pirbright and them onto the A3 - excellent thrash!! By the way didn`t I meet you on the M25 when you had broken down in your Chimaera?? - The cerbera looks like a mean beastie - how long have you had that??

Make sure you come to the next bash!!

All the best

Yeap Neal, we did meet on the hard shoulder of the M25, the gear selector washer (or something like that) went on the Chimaera, but the AA did a good job of getting me home.

Had the Cerb for about 6 weeks, it was the first Red Rose version of the Cerb made and is a great drive. Finally getting used to the power. Gona try and get to more of the meets in the future, the convoy of TVR's lastnight looked real cool.

So you were the mystry Cerb that we went past.

I should be down for a blast too, where would you propose meeting up Andy?

Yes Ston - I was waiting for the handbrake turn as you passed us..
Sixspeed - I hope that was your headlights I saw flashing behind me down the A3, rather than some hidden bridge camera!
A fine gathering and convoy.
Sunday 4th, I was planning to be at the Wales meet - but may not make it - happy to join a two hour drive and will bring camera next time and passenger who can take some "moving pictures"!

Good responses so far although a couple of people are away. I thought this would be the case in August. Perhaps I should suggest another date, and we can have a vote. How about we vote on either:

4th August

or

18th August

Perhaps if everyone can reply on which day they are free, and I'll go with the most popular.

Rob, yup - they were my headlights. Thats the only trouble with the Xenon lights, they flash so quickly it looks like a camera flash.. (good for scaring people sometimes - although that wasn't the intention last night! lol).

sixspeed, the sound of your machine without the silencers on the A3 on the run home was unbelieveable. Speed was around 120, roof off, lots of wind noise, my own engine, and stereo above all that...you were approx.200m ahead, we could hear everything, accelerating, gear changing...awesome.

Great run home.
Hopefully either date should be good for me.

I think I vote for the 18th, as the 4th could see me still celebrating/recovering from Birthday celebrations...

...but if the 18th proves unpopular, then I'll do the 4th

Andy, Have to agree with Luca Brazzi- the sound of your exhaust last night down those lanes towards the A3 was wonderful - Also brilliant was three in a row on the A3 - two chimaera`s and Luca`s tuscan - all belting along at the speed limit (honest guv!!)

By the way the 18th is good for me. Might even have the Tuscan by then!!

Can't wait to get the straight-through silencers as it should sound close to that all the time

More votes people! 4th or 18th!

Missed the three-abreast. I did slow down after giving it some stick (well, it felt slower!), but didn't see many of you after that. Had to turn off at the A244 as well...

I'll make myself free for both those dates, as it's a priority to join in another convoy for theraputic reasons. I'll try and scrounge a passenger/photographer to add to the photo album.
