Max Power'd Cerbera...
Discussion
Firstly, congrats and good luck for all the effort and time put into the car, and no doubt the market it is aimed at will appreciate it.
But lets not forget said market is made up of Dazza'z and gazza'z, baseball caps nova's and beyatches.
The one important point that this modifier has totally missed is the whole design philosophy behind TVR's.
TVR's are unique, original, ahead of their time, set the standard for aesthetic look and character.
This modified cerby has lost all this and now looks like just another OTT modded car. The modifier has inadvertently 'taken' something away instead of adding to it.
For the benefit of you gazza'z and dazza'z its a bucket of sh*t.

Thanks for mentioning my beastie guys
I tried to modify the aerodynamics inspired by racecars, especially the Speed12.
You don't have to like it, BUT it works pretty good.
And more important, even Mr. Wheeler was impressed.
The Carisma is a showcar and for it's aim it's pretty good. You see we discuss it here and the audience will discuss it, too. So the builder and his company are in the spotlight. Negative or Positive, this doesn't count.
Christof*waiting for a maxpowered, AJP8 engined TuscanS, come on this would be a challenge *

Nope, I'm not involved in this project.
But I have developed some aero mods on my cerbie...
and some guys compared my beastie with the Carisma car.

Nice one! Seen that before somewhere on PH.
IMHO your mods look more appropriate to a Tiv than the MaxP thing, though.
It isn't LHD, is it?
cheers,
Bodo
Well I went to Max Power live on Saturday and saw this car in the flesh.
I wasn't sure at first, but like most things, once you've seen it for real up close - it looks a lot better.
The red interior isn't as garish in real life, and the dash (which I don't believe you can see in the pictures) is awesome. Again, its more the quality of the work than perhaps what has been done (TVs, speakers everywhere etc).
It's interesting some of the comments here. Jamie Shaw is an ex-trimmer for Rolls Royce, and is in his 30s I believe, so he's not another Max Power kid. Most of his customers are prestige/performance car owners, but he does do the "Max Power" stuff as well, and is known for doing quality retrims and interiors on magazine feature cars etc. I guess this Cerbera is kind of stuck between the two groups, and appeals a bit to both (maybe!)
I did speak to one of the guys on the stand. Apparently Jamie was a bit unsure and worried about the reaction from the TVR community. I did mention this post on this site and the mixed reactions, and he wasn't surprised. I also mentioned whether he'd be interested in bringing it to any TVR events, and he said that it was worth mentioning to him and suspected he would. So I might give them a call next time we have a big event coming up and see if they'll bring it along. Any ideas? PH meet 4?

This guy hasn't modifyed a Cerbera he's built a new car based loosely on one.
My main problem is, is it now a Performance car (NOS, Spoilers, etc)
or a Luxury car (TV's Big stereo, etc)
The 2 do not mix

So what EXACTLY is the car in question? (i.e. what's the engine and what's underneath the Cerbie silhouette?

Are well they do say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit
I was just pointing out its almost unrecognisable as a TVR Cerbera, inside and out In the same way as some of the better Maxy Muppet hatchbacks are unrecognisable from their humble origins
Hmm... sarcasm is funny... but doesn't translate too well onto web forums...!
Duxford... yeah bring it on... let's see if it's all it's cracked up to be.
