My last bike was a Sprint St 1050.... I fancy a bike V twin like a Millie R or Tuono.

GPz 900 was the first standard production bike, claimed to do a standing quarter in under 11 seconds...

Gleason was exceptional. 9 stones and bit, one hand on the fork leg, 10.something second 1/4 on an unfaired GSX1100 in 1981(ish), Gleason + GPZ900 must have been 10.5 seconds or so.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe I've seen any mention of Harley Davidson in this thread?? It's clear that bikes and Tiv's inspire like minded people, I think it's some kind of 'nutter' factor biggrin

Mate of mine (Harley Pilot on here) bought a 4.2 Cerb earlier this year, and he's totally smitten.. Get's the whole TVR 'thing' (you get it or you don't).... I'm thinking though that if you're a Harley type biker, you're probably not a TVR kind of guy....

I have the greatest respect for the Harley brigade, on the road their road craft is impeccable, they're well organised (when in convoy), have respect for other road users, and when I've met them en masse have been great people, no different to our TVR community...

Some years ago I had one for a weekend, I have no idea what model it was, other than it was 1340cc, and had the Harley performance upgrade. I think it did 0-60 in three minutes wink

Triumph Bonneville made way finally for the Chimaera to go in the garage after 7 years in the rain.

Miss that bike but it was a choice that had to be made.

I only ever qtr'd one bike, my British Supersport 600 in 2002 at the Suzuki day, i managed a 10.92/128mph, John reynolds and Karl Harris could not get under 11's with the grabby dry clutches aboard Rizla Suzuki's, my car however has done 10.6/132! smile

Spot on I'd say.

A review I once read for the RG500 sums it up nicely (and applies to TVR owners as well IMO)
it said
"for frontal lobotomy cases and serious adrenaline freaks only" biggrin

Just because Harley was mentioned... For those involved in TITT event who happened to meet my co pilot and good mate who loved and smiled all day long.

He now has a love for TVR and fully understands our passion.

I forgot I'm a 4 TVR 2 bike kind a chap although my TVR's are mighty my bikes perhaps for some leave a little to be desired performance wise. In the foreground is my fold away Di-blasi that I used as a pit bike, I will sadly be e-baying it shortly as I have too many other toys to buy, one out one in she tells me rolleyes

A few of my old bikes that I have pics of, most have been modded to some extent.

Yam RD350LC. Fitted a powervalve motor in the end and then sold it, what a Berk, would love another but price's are stupid.

Honda vfr400r nc30 ...intricate little thing and handled wonderfully

Triumph T955 speedtriple ..sounded glorious with the carbon high level pipe, was Pretty well polished to death.

Suzuki drz400 E was possibly the first drz to be converted to supermoto spec in around 2000

Buell xb 9s..quirky thing with fuel in the frame and oil in the swingarm, rim mounted disc too but handled well with a thumping 1000cc v twin lump

Ktm 990 superduke, insane bike with a storming motor, again a v twin, lots of grunt but very fierce delivery as it was a 05 before they refined the fuelling.

And the current ccm404 money pit ....so much done to this not much is close to standard.

That's the Suzzy 650 lump in that isn't it?

One of my stock cheaply favourites was the Suzzy RS650 with the same motor I believe, a great London bike!

My GS Adventure has taken me all around Europe many times , whilst my HP2 Sport is the best handling bike I've ever ridden. Love my bikes ...Love my Tiv. The world's a great place.

You mean the ccm404 peter? No its a Suzuki engine all right but from the drz400, albeit the higher output E version.
