Yes, dam you Chilli, I've been cruising the classifieds as well.
I refuse to accept any responsibility I seriously fancy a British bike based cafe racer though Norton or Triumph would be awsome, 60's stylee
By the way you want and need a Norton Domiracer, by far THE best bike of the recent NEC show, and I'd have one in an instant if they ever decided to produce it an any numbers, and I'm not as old as you !

BUT, I have to add I only opened the door, It was you lot that stepped through it
I'm with you on the Norton rigga, that's luurvly
I had bike's from the age of 16 up to 30 and then had a big off which kind of put me off bikes a bit and actually got me into TVRs....all the inconvenience of a motorbike with the relative safety of 4 wheels!
14 years later I returned to the bike fold earlier this year after rescuing and restoring a Triumph Daytona 900 and then soon after I fell for, and bought my dream bike, a Honda VTR SP2 (RC51).
The key to avoiding divorce, i find, is to simply not tell the missus, you can hide bikes quite easily at the back of the garage.... If she finds it....just act dumb

Had loads a big Suzuki's but now I've ended up with this, technically a motorbike as it is a 80 town mate and what a beauty bought it for £25 three years ago so far cost me just the mot every year and a battery 18 months ago. Don't get me onto how many miles per gallon verses my Griff.............
credit bloke, for owning up to having it, repairing it and riding it. Then again at least you have a bike, and I no longer do. How fast is it mister?

I can only deam of an 80.
The only bike I have at the moment is a ex Mexican food delivery bike, Honda AN125 which I bought for the rear of the motorhome and sadly never took it away
Longest journy I did in a day was 120 miles right across the centre of London when I had a puncture on the Triumph, I admit but shouldn't that it was real fun!

That's a lovely looking bike.....I have to confess, that in addition to my need for a cafe racer, I have for quite a few years now harboured the desire to buy a GPZ900 and undertake a full nut and bolt rebuild. One of the early bikes, rebuilding it to the highest possible standard, totally mint, but all in yellow, with no decals or stickers, completely plain. it was after all, the first 'superbike'..... Or maybe pink... Many years ago a good mate had his Cosworth 1500 Lotus 7 sprayed pink. We all said Noooo..... But he did It anyway, and when finished, much to our surprise, it looked fecking stunning.... Or maybe just the frame in pink, and the rest in yellow
Wotcha think guys?

Yep that's the baby It was a few years after the film came out I got the ZX1000, which it was called in the handbook, but was sold as the ZX10..... IIRC it also featured in Mad Max (the GPZ900)
The ZX10 was the fastest production road bike ever tested by MCN, I think in 1989.... I may be wrong coz my memory's crap, but they managed a top speed of 168mph, which was subsequently exceeded a few years later by the ZZR1100 which topped 170mph....
I think the GPZ came into the UK in 1984, and topped 150mph....
Still double our current max road speed limit in 2013... I bought my Z in 1990, it was about 6 months old with about 1500 miles on it.. The memories of how quick it was still blow me away today
GPz 900 was the first standard production bike, claimed to do a standing quarter in under 11 seconds...
The fact that only 1 or 2 professional drag racers managed it by being complete animals was irrelevant
Best I ever got was low 11.2's.... But it was a great bike.... So good that I had 2 of em
Talking of restoration though.... I'd love o do a Gpz 750 turbo...
. Or a Suzuki katana 1000 with the whacky clocks
