Hi Christof

I've noted your comments regarding TVR possibly showing a new car at the next motorshow. I'd be interested in going and seeing this and wondered if you knew which show they were thinking of?

(Obviously I realise you probably can't guarantee anything but I'd like to go to a motorshow anyway so might as well kill two birds with one stone and try and get a look at a new model!)

Cheers.

nothing wrong with London - though getting up each day at 06:30 to stand nose to armpit with some sweaty chap isn't the greatest !!

You get up at 6:30, you like the lie in then.

I know what you mean about armpits, I am not looking forward to the tube tonight as it is going to be hot.

An thats if it works ! No northern line this morning, just met a mate for lunch and it took her 1 1/2 hours to get in from Fulham. Still 2 bottles of Sancerre in C&Bs looking at the summer dresses is enough to cure all evils !

just wait until Thursday and the Tube Strike, oh luck me, do I struggle in, or work from home. Then again I could just take the day off and enjoy this weather.

Or you could all make a big 'lifestyle' decision and work somewhere else ... where there's fresh air and blue skies – it's called the rest of the country

Amen to that MikeyT!

Unfortunately IT work outside the M25 is about as common as Bugatti Royales at the moment!

I work in London during the week but get to go home to Cheshire at the weekends. Quite a nice arrangement, especially as it's classed as a business trip so all my accomodation, travel and living expenses are covered!

I wouldn't want to live here permanently though.

The key to avoiding the Underground is...... wait for it...... to WALK! I tried this and was amazed at the results! My apartment is in Waterloo and I work in the city but I can walk in to work quicker than I can do it on the Underground. Alas, I also discovered the joys of sunburn, as opposed to toxic burn which is what you get for travelling on the Underground!

I have to say that I am a walker, I do walk from Waterloo to Marylebone sometimes, it is a good 40 minute walk and in this weather a bit muggy, but it is still nice to be outside.

and I agree about the lifestyle thing, I was raised in North Wales (Wrexham) and do miss the easier pace of life, but in London it is easy to et an IT/Project Manager Job, if I could get one "back home" in the Chester area, I would be there like a shot, then I could spend the money I save on a house on another TVR

I work for a company that deals with pharma information. I am a Project Manager that looks after a team of software engineers that support client facing products (PC Applications), that run queries for report/charting pharma/medical information for marketing types in the main Pharma companies.
