Children, does it really bother you that much about how someone else decides to driver their car?

I'll drive my car with roof up, ear plugs in, tossing over a copy of Razzle if I like, no-on elses business surely?

I've seen a number of TVRs this week around London
I agree with Steve Heath about the roof thing, often the boot is too full of stuff for the roof too - although not too often
Do you know what really gets my goat!? :goatbeinggot: Those Bloody MX-5 and MGF drivers who buy a funcking hard top for it and then leave it on for the summer - I MEAN WHAT THE FUNKS THAT ALL ABOUT THEN!!!??????

There I feel better - glad it's Friday.

Okay but... why do you care? I just can't be arsed!

Just don't forget to wave at passing TVR drivers, as that would be a real sin

Hey, in this day and age, THEY might choose to use a copy of the afore mentioned adult literature...!

I'm Northern, and I'm definitely a dirty b@stard

(pronounced bAStard, not baaaastard by the way)

I live in Cheshire and I am a professional. Does that mean I have to wear a dirty northern suit?

I sometimes drive with the roof up when i'm in London because there are enough muppets in Beemers and other convertibles who are just out for a pose session with their mates, and I just think that driving a cool car like a TVR with the roof up says 'I don't need to proove a point, I already know it's a cool car' Sometimes you see convertible cars being driven by owners who want to just show off, I prefer to be a little more descreet.
If it's a very hot day of course then the roof comes off!

I would check this out www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=13778&f=48&h=0 and yes I do wear a suit and drive a Porsche, does that make me a bad person

I often drove my Chimaera with the roof up because;

1. I couldn't be arsed to take it off
2. The wife complained about he hair getting spoiled
3. The car was WAY faster with the roof on - especially on motorways

And yes - given the choice of a Boxster S or Chimaera to try and set a lap time, I'd choose the Porsche every time.

Also, if you drive in traffic with the roof off, people are liable to lob missiles into the car, as Vmax500 found out recently when attacked with a lump of cheese!

hmmm,

well coming back from TVRServices on the middle lane of the A40 about 4:30 last night... Silver Chimaera rolls up in the fast lane, I wave & look across what do I see?

Two bloody suits in shades with the roof up - not only that but they solidy ignored us in the purple Chimaera with roof down...(not easy with the sports exhaust and the Mrs looking babelicious)...

So I pull out behind and wave, no reaction so I go past as they pull off and wave, still no reaction... If I didn't know better would have assumed it was a porker....

Don't get me wrong as I used to do the 'suit in the city' bit, but the last thing we need in TVR land is a load of 'Tims'....
