Not sure if this has been covered any time recently.

But I am starting to make a playlist for my European jaunt and am maybe not as knoedgeable as most when it comes to music.

Theres is nothing of recent times that I can think off??

So am reverting to stuff I remember my dad listening too.

Teardrops by Womack and Womack?
On your own way by fleetwood mac.
In the air tonight by Philip Colin's are a few I love

Not necessarily fast tempo songs just good anthems maybe from past and present.

What's your best songs/albums

Probably my current top ten but this changes with the seasons. (not in order of favouritism)

Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Crossroads - Cream
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zep
Silver Machine - Hawkwind
Du Hast - Rammstein
Enter Sandman - Metallica

and they must all be louder than your exhaust smokin

Slightly off track - some real oldies about cars but real good to listen too, if you are my age!
Six days on the road : Taj Mahal
Willin': Little Feat
Little Deuce Coupe : Beach Boys
Jaguar & the Thunderbird : Chuck Berry
Rocket 88 : Jackie Brenston
You Can't catch me : Chuck Berry

Rocket 88! The first true Rock and Roll number!

I lied in my last post, I like listening to the Johnny Burnette trio at times...

Levellers. What a beautiful day and there's only one way of life.
Neil dimond, sweet Caroline.
Matt Monroe, On days like these.
Mumford and sons, awake my sole.
Dodgy, good enough
Dire Straights, money for nothing
Deep blue something, breakfast at Tiffanys.

A bit random but I like them.

are you doing the Alps?

...if so get "On days like these" by Matt Monro.....we did for the 2010 S-Club Euro tour - Italian Job jaunt....forget the Lambo at the beginning of the film, TVRs hurtling around mountain bends, exhaust notes rattling off of the rock walls and sing this at the top of your voice is excellent...happy days... wink
