Sliding battery tray ?
Discussion
Hi,
Anyone fitted a sliding battery tray to their car ? (the sort that lock when in the closed position) I'm looking for a better option for my Chimaera, where I can slide the battery back towards the passengers seat to make it more accessible for removal. I don't want to locate the battery in another part of the car, and it's kept away from any power source to leave it on trickle charge, hence it needs removing/jumping regularly.
So, has anyone fitted one, or researched it ?
Something like this ? http://www.powergearus.com/products/trays
Cheers,
Simon

Interesting option, and I can see his useful it would be considering how deep into the footwell the battery is sited, but I would hope for some really strong latches on that tray, as the last thing you want is a great big heavy lump like a battery deciding it wants to exit pretty quick in the event of an accident or the latch gives way.
