Car parts supplier Unipart goes into administration

Just seen that Unipart have gone into administration, will this affect TVR Parts.??

Shouldn't think so, It's Multipart who do the TVR parts, not Unipart.

The administators are only closing certain stores!. I know this, as a good friend of mine was made redundant today from the Eastbourne store.

They went bust a couple of weeks ago but administrators were trying to find a buyer, took a while to go public... Pages and another group have bought about 30 branches or so between them but the rest are closed... Im self employed in the motor trade, albeit commercial side, and its getting worse with companies selling stuff for nowt! A big competitor of mine recently went bust but no surprise as they buying for 100 selling for 101... Cant be done long term!! I hear Unipart were similar..?

From what I know, ecp were looking to buy out unipart and ces have bought Andrew Page but will be keeping them separate businesses. Them pair are having crazy price wars, forcing the smaller guys to join in snd see who lasts the longest

It's what used to be Unipart Automotive, not Unipart itself.... Unipart automotive was sold by Unipart in 2011....

Unipart Automotive was sold last Thursday to Andrew Page Ltd. The local stores were closed down and the distribution centres are running under the new owners.
Waiting for them to contact me to close my account. My choice was between Andrew Page or Euro Car Parts to open a new account and I've chosen Page for now. See how it goes.
