I've been recommended these pads as a good upgrade for road and track use by someone I trust and respect. Just about to order them, and the sites all say NOT for road use.

Can't contact my mate at the moment, so I was wondering if anyone on here has first-hand experience of using them and what their thoughts are?

TIA!

Too track focused for road use, they need to be hot to work. You may well find you have very little braking effect after a cruise on a wet motorway.

1155 is a good compromise as are Pagid RS14 or CL6's.

Ferodo DS2500 are also a good pad. Been using for a few years on my current and previous TVR's. Fine for regular driving and good for track day work.

I'm running standard. Need new discs and pads so going for the RG ones and thought I would try uprated pads too.

Actually no - but the guy who is fitting them recommends them.

What's the clutch like?

Get it run in quickly!! Bloody HUGE difference when you get near the 6k mark! Picked mine up 2nd May, got 1500 miles on in three weeks ready for Cadwell on 2nd June. She was great. Now though - I've done another 5.5k (service in next couple of weeks) and my God is she good now.

The acceleration is awesome when you get her on cam t about 4k revs - all the way to 7.5 kwhen even then she doesn't run out of steam. I'm only changing up because the red light tells me too smile

Loss of traction at high revs in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If you should want to of course wink

No problem in keeping up with a 550bhp 911 and Murci on full boot last night biggrin

Im desperate to get the leak sorted so i can do some running in miles down to good wood at the weekend. Did you have the bottom end rebuilt aswell?

Do you know what kind of power your getting?

Hah! Not sure about the bottom end - I'll check the paperwork. I know it is a different sump arrangement and simplex chain, but not sure if any of that comes just with the head. I did have equal length manifolds and a lightened fly too.

I'll check the rest.

As for power, not sure. When it was on the dyno at 1500 miles on the clock it showed only 380bhp. That was a very hot day, and with SRRs new premises/set up. So I don't know how that would compare to running on the old kit on a cold day, with the expected 410bhp.

BUT.... they say you can't feel any increase less than 10% and I can feel a massive difference to then. They did warn me that I would not get decent numbers until at least 3.5 - 4.0k.

So until I get her on a dyno I don't know, but if you take the 10% difference being noticeable, I guess I am looking at nearly 420.

As I say - guess-work at the moment. I do intend to get to SRR, hopefully with some other FFF engines so we can compare power for various set-ups.
