i plan to sell my elise 111s sometime next year and get myself a tuscan as a daily but i do around 5k miles so im hoping its livable, i basically want something with a softer ride more comfortable abit more practical, more power, a great noise and still british. The tuscan and Aston Martin V8V seem to fit and i cant afford an aston martin v8v.

I'd use my 4.6 chim as a daily if I could.

since I've prepared it for sale sorting out all the little niggles I love driving it.

Super reliable and better than my 4.0 LPG Disco on fuel.

As long as you don't have to leave it parked in London or similar then go for it!

I know a good 4.6 that's available wink
Or you could combine the two & have an LPG Chimaera, which makes an amazingly practical daily driver yes

Only yesterday I filled up with 320 miles of fuel, and for just £42.00.

That's the same as 45 MPG in cost terms, which compares favorably with a modern small capacity four cylinder petrol hatch back.

Done right an LPG converted TVR lets you have your cake & eat it, suddenly your thirsty 4.0 litre V8 sports car becomes a very practical everyday prospect that competes with a Ferrari at the lights & a Ford Fiesta at the pumps.

What's not to like? wink

Used my Chimarea for almost 10 years.
Only stopped using it as my commute changed from daily 5 miles round trip to over 400 miles a week.
(The saving in fuel payed for the additional diesel car)

Went a whole 7 miles to fill up with fuel in the 5.5 in the pouring rain. I would NEVER use it as a daily.

Heavy clutch,
Steams up
Aquaplanes with a vengeance,

Still made me smile.................

On the other hand, the 4.6 is a pussycat and I would happily us that as said before.

I cannot believe your 4.6 has not sold!

I used a chimaera as a daily driver for 9 months and it was great fun, however I find the car far more enjoyable being used as a weekend car!

Have you had it dynoed since changing the heads back? The 4.6 I mean... Out of interest. Would be good to see how the head swap has affected the power output of both vehicles.
