Just wondering really, for those who put there cars to bed in the winter, when do you generally tuck them away?
I'm convincing myself that I won't wheel it out for a cruise when I do out it away, but it's tough!

When you say "hibernation",what state will the car be in ? I keep my Chim in a farm lock up unit as I have no garage attached to my house. Although it is all snug under a dust sheet and kept charged with a trickle charger ,it is ready to roll on a spur of the moment chance to go for a spin or meeting etc. What do hibernators do?,up on axle stands ,wheels off, engine liquids drained. How far do you go ?

Cant see the point of hibernation myself. Keep my Chim in a garage on charge but its out at least once a week unless its icy/snow. Sorry the temptation to drive the Chim is too much. Couldnt hibernate !!!!!!!

I'm fortunate to have a good dry garage (one one request when house hunting), so it'll just be on the maintenance charger waiting for a dry day I guess. I'm just a bit concerned about salt on the roads and weighing up the risk.

Now I actually have a garage I have already sorn,d the cerbera but was more because I have some maintenance jobs that need doing so as the tax was due made more sense to sorn it. I have sorn'd it over winter before with a battery charger on it and a cover but the cover last year with it being constantly wet ruined the paint so would warn people over car covers if the weather is constantly wet and windy with the cover moving around.

I'm leaving mine with Umair at http://garaged.com/ end of Nov - end of Jan. I know it will be in the best place then too. I haven't got any room to keep it anywhere over the winter months.

I hate the thought of not using mine so I will take it out when dry and keep it tucked up in the garage when it isn't.
