After someone pulled out in front of me this morning (fortunately relatively low speed), I need to get the front corner of my Tuscan repaired. Can anyone recommend a couple of good bodywork repairers in the East Anglia area (nearer to Norfolk the better), preferably who have done good repairs on TVR's before?

As the other driver was young and has accepted responsibility (well at least her parents have), I am prepared to not go down the insurance route to protect her future insurance bills, but need at least a couple of quotes so that they understand a fair cost of repair.

Any recommendations would be welcome.

Thanks

Corky

I know its not that close to you but I have used Motts in Nayland, which is North of Colchester, if you click on their site and look under the Classic gallery you can see the work that was done to my Griffith, I have been impressed with the quality of their work.

If you are in West Norfolk then try Chris Brown in Downham Market.
He has just made a superb job of a full respray of an S belonging to Mat Smith, the TVR expert just round the corner from Chris. i am sure Mat will show you the S if you want to check quality.
Mat's number is 01366 386004, Chris is 01366 386608

Thanks for the recommendations.

I need a couple of quotes so I'll probably try both.

Unfortunately it will cost a days pay and 40 quid in fuel just to travel to get the quotes...

Anyone had good experience with anywhere closer to Diss?

If you require fibreglass repairs too, then apart from Chris Brown I can recommend Sportmotive in Stoke on Trent. A friend from Attleborough, who is most particular about his TiV, had his done by them. At the end of the day the quality of the repair does matter and is worth travelling for.

Finally, I have a fussy Tuscan owning friend who has had his Tuscan repaired and resprayed recently. He lives near BSE, so I will drop him an email and ask where he took it, and report back.

I can second the quality of Mott's work

Surprised no one has mentioned 'Plasticman' in Bedfordshire.

Scole Engineering, in Scole - right next door to Diss.
Have relatively recently had a new spray booth installed at their premises.
Very knowledgeable and experienced local TVR people. I've had great service from them on my Chimaera (services and M.O.T.'s etc) but have not had any experience of bodywork repairs although I have no doubt they would be more than happy for you to pop in to their premises and see what they are currently working on bodywork repair wise.
Hope this helps.
