Tuscan drainig battery ????
Discussion
Afternoon,
I went to use the Tuscan a few weeks ago (while not in use its plugged in via the trickle charger) and it was completely dead. After checking the battery I noticed it had been on there for 4 years so thought must be the issue. However I fitted a new battery plugged the trickle charge back in and today its totally dead again?
If anyone has any ideas of where I should start looking for possible shorting or earthing out problems or anything similar has happened to you I would love some help or ideas please.
Thanks in advance.
Rod.

I had identical with a <1 year old battery a couple of weeks ago. I assumed it was the trickle charger and brought a new one, however the battery refused to hold a charge for more than a few minutes...
Once started, everything seems fine, and the car drives well but no charge in the battery so my assumption is that my trickle charger died and killed the battery - however, just to be sure, it's now at Str8six getting a new battery, a service and a complete check over. Will let you know what they find when I get it back...
Cheers,
Bill.

For what it's worth...
When I first got my Cerbera the accumate charger never showed a full charge i.e. the "orange" charge light stayed on...never turned "green" lot's of head scratching commenced ....looked everywhere..even purchased an heat detection device ...no good....then spoke to Karl Baker and Adrian Venn they told me that wiper motors and alarm sirens can be the source of fires in TVR's ..just look at cars that have perished in fires..many originate from these areas..
I disconnected my wiper motor ...no change...disconnected the siren ..battery took a full charge and accumate turned green ...replaced siren ...but also changed battery as this was getting tired..
Been told that wiper motors and sirens have a constant electrical input....
Hope this helps....
