TVR facing wrong way on A34 Shirley
Discussion
Hello
I just spotted this TVR facing the wrong way on the A34 near Shirley. Everyone looks ok. Minor spin. It's 100 yards from a round about so my guess is over steer, over correction, spun opposite way and then interfaced with the kurb. Bit hard to make out in the first pic so I've cropped it for the 2nd. I think it's a Tamora?

Just drove past this and the police were still there and i wondered what had happened. The tvr clearly had gone. The central reservation was all cut up
Weirdly the police were checking the underside of their car???
Looks like Bob 's tam......fingers crossed all ok?

I am happy to report that car and driver are both fine.
OP got it pretty right. I turned onto the A34 from the side road at the island. Short distance in and the back slid out. And no I wasn't giving it the beans.
A dab of opposite lock as the saying goes and she did a 180 the other way into the kerb.
No body damage whatsoever but the rear left Spider alloy machined itself to death. Undriveable so got the recovery guy out.
The policeman in an unmarked BMW 330 was the most helpful guy you could ever meet. He reckoned from the scrape on the kerb that I wasn't going fast (40 limit). He set up cones and closed off the road for the recovery guy. Great support.
So after 7 years on PH I finally get spotted. Not him I was hoping for it to go.
Thanks for all of the messages asking how I am.

Really nice guy, but drove over one of his cones and got it stuck underneath while shifting out of the way of the recovery truck!Edited by phillpot on Thursday 1st January 19:52
Thanks Keith. I saw your post in the Wedge forum.
Shelsley was good, even though most people turned up in their daily drivers.
Not quite the perfect end to the perfect day. New Spider rim from TVR Parts comes in at £210, plus a new tyre so probably closer to £300 to get her rolling again. Then factor in a geo check. Painful wallet time.
