I've just paid best part of £60k for a 7,500 mile Sag, only to find loads of problems.
The lambda wiring loom mod had not been done, the thermostat was knackered, despite being told the tappets had been shimmed in April they are way out and needed re-doing. To top it all , when the manifolds and cats were removed for ceramic coating one the Cats is totally buggered
. Don't you just love TVR bills !!!!
PS All the servicing done by very reputable TVR main service agents in the South of England.

I will keep it Keith, I have always longed for a saggy but the difference in trade in prices are just not on, I just can't see a difference of around £35000 in the cars.........I have a pension coming out in April so might just go and negotiate with cash and like you keep the vert as she is such a lovely faultless tvr.

TOV!E, do you remember my thread last week about Tuscan Convertible prices saying that the offers I'd had for mine were way too low?
I called Str8Six late on the 27th and agreed a price over the phone which was much better than the other offers I'd received - including one from HHC. It was roughly what I wanted for the car, and with reassurance that so long as the car was basically as described there would be no nonsense when I got there, I drove it down the next day.
They gave the car a once over and then paid me the first £10k on the spot, with the rest paid over the next three days - the balance hit my bank on Saturday. No penny-pinching, no chasing, no messing around. Top job
The only problem is that I got rid of it so quickly that I didn't get a chance to give it a goodbye wash and go for a blatt! The trip down was miserable stop/start traffic and sideways rain... boooo.

Many thanks, just found out that was the car I went to see at TVR MADS about 4 years ago with my best friend, he brought it only to sell it on to racing green a year later, we were told it was going to a desert country as all the cooling system was changed?..TOV!E said:

Yes James mentioned you when I originally purchased the car. I wasn't aware of any cooling system upgrades/changes but I did know about the plan to export.
