Hi EGB,Yes good technique. Looking at the leads in the dark is how I found the misfiring. See above.

You have the required resistance in just the leads- it should be as good as it gets. Im not sure why TVR went for the plug type you have, they seem to run a bit cold and sooty in my book,(are yours jet black?) so you could try the stock BP6ES for general use. Neither type is resistive.
Thanks Blitz,You're right on the plugs. I pulled a plug from each side and they were sooty at the ends. Not wet, just dry sooty. The electrode tip and nose were reasonably clean and the more correct brown colour. So it's not a big problem but just could be a bit better. I do tend to do short distance drives (commutes) and not much long distance though so that could be part of it maybe, i.e. engine not up to full temperature for a reasonable part of each journey?
