I have an emerald plug n play ECU fitted to my cerbera I've heard that its easy to use and tuneable by yourself on the move...has anyone else done this at home and if so any advice would be more than welcome.

I'm only asking as I've recently trusted the car to a local garage for this work and after paying a large bill...I'm not impressed and I'm pretty sure I could have done better with a little help.

Not easy to do at home. You really have to know what you are doing.

This is who you want when it comes to an Emerald and especially a Cerbera. Very highly thought of on here when it comes to TVR mapping. And not silly money. His username on here is spitfire4v8.

Joolz knows the car well as it was really the first cerbera to be tuned and I'm sure it was the first cerb to be fitted with the emerald ECU.

Hi Mike

I would try HQ garage in Dalgety Bay just over the water. My friend has just had his Omex sorted (had a few issues with idle control and then mapped it as well as sorting voltage variations) in his TVR T350 and I am looking at getting my 4.3 speed 6 on MBE mapped there. Russ who does this is excellent. They build their own Dynos etc and Russ will walk you through every step of the way and will insist you stay while he looks at your Map.

Sounds just the job...how much does a RR session cost? I know it'll really depend on any work involved.

Will give my mate a a buzz and get back to you (have emailed you some other info questions).

I was quoted £500 ish for the MBE. They do a lot of Jap stuff as well and their Dyno is rated to 1000BHP (full 4 wheel drive one)

Their tel no is 01383 827900

Russ said to me at any point you are unhappy you can stop the session. I think they ask a deposit up front but if you speak to Russ directly he is very happy to explain everything upfront.

It's a pity you are so far away from Dave but you could always speak to him about the car may be he knows someone up you're way with experience of that set up as it sounds like its a bit of a bespoke setup. He's a good bloke I'm sure he will help it he can I've only had good outcomes with him in the past. Richard
