Have you had a look at Tony Gilbert's site.
Great cars and good dealer.
I have no connection other than having bought a T350C from him.
Hi just seen your post . don't give up !! I had been looking for a Griff for over a year then started looking as budget price maximum 15k (only found one and he decided not to sell) the cars was not up to my expectation as I owned one 10 years ago and was looking for one as good as I sold mine. in the end I purchased cheap then will now renovate to my liking Great cars and good dealer.

I cant see the car on there? Ideally I really would like power steering but I am torn whether to get one with or go for a 4.3.
I have emailed you the link - it is in the members for sale forum. Re power steering, I have had both and prefer the non PAS of the two. Of course it is harder to park, but a lot better at speed imhoTV8 said:

They are getting old and rare - old means they're not going to be close to perfect, especially sub £10,000 and the rarity keeps the prices relatively high. Maybe adjust expectations?
FWIW a £10k 996 isn't going to be perfect and trouble free - even for a 986 that's bottom dollar. You won't have the sound or sense of occasion either.

There's a very nice looking 400 with a few extras in the classifieds now that seems to be ticking all the boxes that im going to have a look at later.
Its not cheap and for the same money I could be looking at a 450 but a lower spec.
Ive never driven a 450 and ideally would like one as they seem the best to get.
But this 400 is very nice indeed.
What to do?

I've got a 450 and drive out with the Bristol TVRCC and a lot of them have 5 litre Griffs. On the road I never feel like I'm short changed. What's half a second to 60?.
The difference between a 911 and a boxster is visual as well as engine. All the chims look and feel the same. Just some are a bit faster....
Good luck.

OP, if you are ever in South Essex on a dry weekend I'll gladly take you out in my 450. Just back from annual service, MOT and fettle at TVR Power and complete with a full health check on engine, running gear and chassis.....all good Everything engine and gearbox wise is standard so might give you an idea of what a good 450 goes like.
