Road legal track day tyres have a completely different feel on the road . To be honest i would stick to a soft compound road tyre . i always liked the old Toyo T1R for road use .

I did wonder whether they would be too track orientated but from what i've read, they're not in the R888 bracket, more similar to the R1R which was aimed at more road use but with occasional track work, and there seems to be a fair amount of people reviewing them for road use so hopefully it'll be good!

I guess like a lot of things, it's almost impossible to try before you buy so if all else fails and they don't feel nice on the road or are too noisy etc then i'll have to put my F1's back on and use these for something else.

What have you used on the road and what didn't you like? Noise and ride quality seem to be the likely trade off (if any)?

I have a set if federal RSR 595`s ,They grip like hell but you can feel the road surface ,it does get on your nerves . The other thing you are aware of is maybe they might let go in standing water .

Just fitted my other road set with Falken 452`s and they are an absolute pleasure but they don`t grip the same .i have two sets so best of both worlds .

Just for info, I have just put a full set of Toyo Proxes T1 Sports on my Tuscan and I'm very pleased with them. I'd gone off the Goodyears after finding the Asymmetric 2's spoiled the handling due to the tyre walls being too soft, albeit partly due to the deeper profile I went with at the back. The 255/40 Goodyear rears were horrid.

I've put 245/40 T1 Sports on the rear, and 225/35 T1 Sports on the front. Smaller than before but this is the same tyre sizes used on the T350 and Tamora which have the same chassis as the Tuscan 'vert and it has certainly sharpened up the steering and killed-off nearly all the tramlining.

Tyres were bought via Oponeo, £97 each for the rears and £93 for the fronts. Full set of new tyres for £380 is spot-on.

Yet to be driven but they do look good. The 225 does seem a lot wider than the Goodyear version so they don't look stretched at all.

Will report back once they're run in!
