Well that was a fun day , nice to meet everyone and blag a ride in the Sagaris. (Cheers)
The Tasmin gave Us a couple of tests but luckily We found the causes quickly.
The basic nature of a race car proved fun when we got caught out in the heavy rain but all in all the car passed it's first track outing with us with smiles all round .
Had a good last session chasing Colin round.
Cheers
Geoff

What could have been a washout turned out to be 1/3 rain at most and 2/3 dry track time.

Hopefully a good time was had by all, I certainly enjoyed it.

Really good to meet up with the other regulars, Anthony, Colin, Geof, John, Mat, Richard , etc, (alphabetical order, Lordy I'm diplomatic) and others..............

Foolishly believed the forecasts and drove on my road R1Rs but should have worn Triple 8s, so much more grip, (well not a huge amount more but would have made me feel better!).

I enjoyed giving you guys rides and will post up a couple of GoPro clips shortly if I can master the technology!

Was a great day. 1st go in the sag on a track and 1st go at snetterton. I enjoyed it, lot to learn yet, about the car. I had a great time in the rain, only bout 10 cars out there. Looked at cam last night and I was out for half an hour in it. Few poop moments, bit of an aquaplane down the staight at about 90, but overal was a great time sliding around smile
I found the Nangkang NS2R's to be pretty good. But I have nothing to benchmark against.
Anyone more than welcome to a passenger ride in sag, any excuse to go out again. But as I said, the weak link in a fast lap in that car was me....
Good to meet a few, never really got to chat properly to a few and put faces to names from here

Roll on Spa in a few weeks smile

Will do again

That last one was during the heavy midday rain when I followed the sag out.

Lucky it was that bright a colour as it was about the only car I could see through the wall of water that was thrown up by the tyres.

Imagine going down the straight following a group of cars at about 80-90 mph, you couldn't see a thing!

By comparison, I saw 140 on the clock towards the end of the day down the back straight.

Here is the guy who was taking photos yesterday.

Link to gallery pages;

Although he did say that the double header yesterday and todays events would delay him sorting through those taken.

I'm not the stig or speilberg, so good luck with the vid lol

Will stick a lap or so of the wet part later. But like you said difference between dry n wet was about 30/40mph down the straights.

It'll be nice to have a couple more cars for Donnington on the 5th of June - see the other thread in General TVR Stuff & Gossip - so we can get two garages.

Here is a bit of video from my first stint after the rain , I know I was taking it a bit careful due to track drying out but it looks like I am crawling round ! (ok I probably was crawling compared to most :-/ )
Camera split the video into 5 minute segments of 650Mb so just need to process them all and stitch together !
