Would the moderators care to edit the OP's post for security reasons?

What is the problem with it? I'll edit it if there is a problem.

Soooo, after some time the car is here meaning that the dream is now either starting, or ending.

A few minor niggles so far (not including the electric unit for the mirror falling onto my foot whilst driving home prompting a quick pitstop and return).

It seems that when the lights are switched on, turning them off doesn't actually make them go out! The current solution is to use the immobiliser key and then switch them on and off again. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

There also seems to be a problem with either one of the key fobs or the alarm/locking in general. A couple of times I've locked the car and it unlocks almost straight away so I've had to tell it to lock several times before it stays locked. Had 2 new fobs so don't know if one of them is playing up or if it is a general problem, need to investigate further....

Also noticed drips of something on my drive. Not sure what this is yet as the oil is new and when I touched it and smelt it, didn't really feel like oil or have a smell. I'll check tomorrow if the drive still has a mark and also if there is anything in the garage from sitting there over night.

As its a late Griff, it will have power steering. Look at the front left (passenger) side of the engine and see if you can see any
leaks from the pipes. If it is like the Chimaera the U bend in the pipes may well be leaking.

Of course if it has aircon, it could just be condensation dripping.

congtats on the car. Although a v late Griff, its still old tech so you'll need to work through issues, no doubt.

Also, why hide the plate?? Its still visible in the ad?

Check to see that the interior lights go out shortly after shutting the doors, it's possible that the door micro switches are not operating correctly.

That's a funny looking Cerb. Seats look right though. biggrin

Add a Fibreon vented bonnet and that's the look I'd have.

Enjoy.

I used the photos elsewhere, don't want everyone knowing the reg (not that there are many other Griffiths in that colour combination!).

No air con so can rule that out. Had a look under it in the garage tonight and no obvious drips. Possible it was off my Dodge from earlier. Time will tell.

Thanks, I'll investigate further tomorrow (if it doesn't rain). Hadn't even noticed interior lights.

Why? In case someone clones the plate? Pretty easy with a tvr for it to stand out if wrong. I had someone clone my espace onto an escort, never had the TVR cloned. It caused me no issue as I just the FPN back with 'does that look like an Espace?'

Good looking car by the way. For the issues, have you asked the previous owner?

Just paranoid I guess. Will be putting my own plate on soon anyway.

Bought the car from Bespoke so the niggles will be sorted under warranty if necessary.

Might be coolant from the radiator - get it checked before it fails; summer is coming up and cooling in these beasts can be marginal on a hot day stuck in traffic.

I had Griffs for 16 years so I'd like to congratulate you for (1) getting a TVR (2) getting one with a RV8 engine. Much nicer than S6 smile

Nice one Willtl.

I've heard that the Quicksilver 500s are indeed the quickest.

Is that the colour you are getting? This is "Starmist Silver".

My V5C just says Silver, but HHC referred to it as Quicksilver.

Fair point on the jump-leads.
