I believe it's quite a new series. Jees, some of the stuff those guys had. Must all be pretty wealthy to a) buy the stuff, and b) have the land to store it all..

Definite potential for a new drinking game based on the number of times someone is referred to as "mate".

Will give it time though as some of the stuff squirreled away is fascinating.

I love programmes like this and it makes a change not to see it hidden on some PPV Discovery channel.

More please

Getting better. Shame its hidden on ITV4. Needs moving to late night ITV3.

Some great stuff out there.

I quite like it apart from the monotonous voice of the presenter who seems to make a habit of stressing the wrong word in every sentence. Listen as he introduces his mate at the very beginning as they're riding motorbikes.

Seems to be a new series on the Travel Channel (at least I didn't recognize the episode).

Henry Cole is still saying "shifty" when he means "shufti" smile

What the hell is it doing on such an obscure channel?

The first series was originally on Travel.

IIRC, Henry Cole's World's Greatest Motorcycle Rides is Travel's highest-rated programme. smile

Just stumbled across this show, thoroughly enjoyed it! Normally I find stuff like this a bit too geeky, but it's quite a charming show.

Just caught the last 10 minutes on Travel +1. Makes a change from some of the manufactured panics on some shows.

Looks as if Travel are running a double header mid afternoon all next week.

Strange programme to find on a travel channel.

Like other programmes with a restoration theme it seems hugely manipulated. I watched this morning's when they visited somewhere in Somerset and made such low offers on cars and bikes it was blindingly obvious they would be going home empty handed. Not to worry though, Henry Cole had something in his shed at home which needed 'restoring', not that they seem to do much of that beyond starting engines and a bit of cobweb removal.

I can't say I really like this programme, but I do like the World's Greatest Motorcycle Rides. It occurred to me a few years ago that there are basically very few holiday programmes any more, World's Greatest Motorcycle Rides kinda ticks that box for me.

If your experience follows mine you'll have seen the whole lot in about 3 weeks and will then spend the rest of your days watching the first couple of mins of it on one of about 3 different TV channels before realizing you've seen it before.

I just had a month off work on sick leave and watched every episode. The ones where he just buys an old oil can annoy me laugh

I vaguely remember an episode in which they bought an Anglia (I think) Estate, did next to nothing to it and sold it to a member of their production team who couldn't drive.

Been running on the Travel Channel for some time in the afternoons, pretty much since I came across this thread in August. No obvious sequence though, the numbers and series are all jumbled up.

They seem to go West and South West of Oxon, but never North as far as I can see. Have they upset the natives?
