I raced a sierra with a chimaera once. and lost.
sorry.

Wasn't Dads old one was it...? Cream Sierra Estate with Colin Blowers old 2.8 Tasmin racing engine with carbs rather than an injection thingy not a V8....? UHH5.

A lot of people had a go at it and invariably lost. Then when when we stopped we tended to have some explaining to do. It was brilliant. Thats the car I did my first 150+ in. *sigh* memories.

that sounds a familiar car, i may have overtaken it on my Ribble (teehee) - .. there's a cream estate which follows the factory around at race meetings with griff starfish alloys on, but this sierra was a moonstone blue cossie 500 .. a known chesterfield car and seriously quick. it wasn't a race as such cos it just left me for dead, I was flat in 5th slightly uphill out towards the M1 on the A617, maybe 130ish .. it was still pulling away at a great rate of knots, i slowed down in the end cos I lost sight of it!!
I'd love to ask the owner what's done to it, the flames from the exhaust were the best I've ever seen.

ps who is dad?

Dave Cumming better known as Poser. Mum does the warranty - used to be Service Manager.

The Sierra was sold about 3/4 years ago to a bloke in Poulton. That was the other car I wanted.

Got a Escort Cossie to blow his engine a couple of months back
Was just joining the slip road onto the motorway in my Mk2 MR2 when this Escort Cosworth came up alongside me. Must have thought it would be an easy contest because I saw him gesturing to his squeeze sitting next to him the wr sign.
Anyway he should have looked at the words turbo subtlely written on the side trim of my car (280+ BHP, modded). A quick acceleration down the slip road later I heard a loud bang behind me and a now obscured by smoke Escort in the rear view.
