Mania - inclusive or exclusive of BBQ?

I'm a bit confused about this.
Sent my cheque off for a ticket on 19 July - expect I'll get it in the post today or tomorrow.
Yesterday my other half said she can now come so I e-mailed Mr Tank to see if I could get another ticket at short notice. He e mailed back saying yes and I sent off another cheque this morning. All jolly good so far.
Since then Ted has posted a Mania summary on Pistonheads which says anyone booking after 22 July doesn't get to BBQ or Sprint.
So does this mean my 19 July ticket gets me a BBQ, but the last minute ticket doesn't? Because that's going to go down really well with 'er indoors. Not to mention that tickets cost £15 regardless.
Or am I barking up the wrong tree and does a pre 22 July ticket just entitle you to access to the BBQ which you then pay for? Either way, is one of us going to go hungry?
Very confused! I thought I'd paid £30 for a BBQ for 2 and a blast up a runway. But depending on when Mr Tank got my cheque, I may have just paid £30 for access to the Mother of all monthly meetings, which is not quite the same.
I know the organisers do this in their free time, so I'm not having a go - but it would have been nice to know in advance that not all tickets are equal. Was this publicised anywhere that I should have been aware of?
May all be academic if my Griff isn't back from the stealer by then....
