Dont want to introduce politics into the TVR zone but my comment is;-
Many of the improved performances of the 'British' car industry are not down to Government action but improvements in Management, Jag and LR for sure.

I don't think Boris knows what he's talking about. The brands he lists, Lotus, McLaren, Bristol, Morgan, Caterham, TVR (rofl) make very few cars and I doubt he saw any of any of them lined up at the docks in Bristol. The UK makes a lot of Honda's and Nissan's and Toyota's and that's great but they are hardly an example of British ingenuity or an endorsement of Cameron's Britain. Those factories were in place long before the coalition took over. The shining light of the UK car industry in recent years has been JLR which has done extraordinary things thanks to the massive investment of it's Indian parent.

Its a shame as, for me, it pretty much (fairly and squarely) paints Boris with the same, haven't got a clue, paint brush as the rest of the political world.
