TVR Network launched
Discussion
Well they are certainly investing some real time, effort and money into the TVR world. Big companies can negotiate good prices and also if they have sufficient turn-over and investment behind them can also invest in new products that are currently not available so I'm a glass half full on this. They do appear to be taking the whole thing very seriously with a structured plan going forward. Anything that benefits our cars and spares availability gets my vote.

Next thing will be a standard hourly rate, regardless of overheads ... like TVR enforced .
If they were daft enough to do that it would just mean people would use the cheaper specialists, which is exactly what happened with the Ferrari and Porsche dealer networks. They are now grovelling to get clients back by price-matching. Don't really see the point myself, bit weird for an out of production marque where IP has effectively gone open-source unless they're trying to squeeze the parts production. Its a bit like TVRCC v PH, I know which I've preferred for advice on my current motor. The main dealer network in the 90's were decent folks individually but the price control was taking the p**s, much better now with the same, if not more, expertise at much lower labour rates. My local specialist isn't signed up and I couldn't care less if they don't.
I can only surmise they're trying to set up a new dealer network for if and when production ever gets restarted.

Alex I am sure you do not really mean that? There are plenty of individuals / companies that are more than trustworthy and well respected whom are not on that list? Not sure how the creation of this network will impact on existing cars and their value come sale time. Maybe if there is ever a new car then yes. As for now I will stick to who I know & trust regardless of if they appear on that list, they haven't suddenly gone up/down in status because they have decided to pay for the privilidge of being part of the reborn brand

No - I recon it's to close down the supply market first and to generate a revenue stream before they format/invest in any pre-production profiles etc.I can only surmise they're trying to set up a new dealer network for if and when production ever gets restarted.

Once they have cornered the supply chain they will have control of both the trade and retail sectors allowing them to initiate a "closed market" pricing policy.
They then look to gain higher percentages from the "authentic" manufacturing providers using single point distribution and supply employing economies of scale - simplesssss!
However they do need a network both in garage services and retail and I think that they have upset a number of specialists already. If they can't get these on board then the network will start with bloody big gaps in coverage from day one.
I for one would never go to any newly formed network unless I know the people concerned as I need to have complete trust in anyone who works on my T car.
My current specialist is brilliant and the prices are good too.

It's the North of England so that's the important thing to note.Move further up that map and all you'll find is a mountainous, barren land inhabited by folk who paint their faces blue and are always shouting something about 'Freedom'
(Tongue firmly in cheek BTW)
