I don't believe that the only thing wrong with the OP's car is the missing door switch cover. wink

Oh, it isn't. There's lots of stuff wrong with it. Would you like a list of some:

Corroded headlight refelctors
Hot start issue reared its head at the weekend
The outriggers are beginning to show tignes they need sorting
The radio doesn't fit in the aperture properly
The carpet is coming unglued from the driver's foot well
The kind lead turret on the dizzy cap melted last week and I've only just ordered a new set of leads which were the previous sett as the "new set" and cap I fitted last year before driving to Italy broke down after less then 2K miles.
There are several scratches near the boot from putting the roof in and out
There are some chunks of topcoat missing from the n/s front wing where a metal box fell on it in the garage
The rear roof section needs retensioning and has been patched at the sides just after I bought it.
The washer bottle has a milk carton lid as a cover

I'm sure there are lots more.

Still probably one of the better standard ones around though hehe

Makes me smile.

I don't mind paying for parts but i object to the TVR tax when you mention what car the parts are for. And it does happen.

And no Pupp, I haven't ordered one. My last one was pinched at Burleigh last year and I've been looking for a supply since then. I ordered a couple from RS but they were the wrong size. I've toyed with the idea of changing the buttons for waterproof ones as its cheaper than buying the original covers. Well, it is if you believe the postage costs on the website hehe

Or go to Powers Performance and Racetech smile

We need competition!
I agree, but as I said on another topic recently, Powers aren't exactly making it easy - they're not even accepting internet orders any more.
Sorry We cant please all, fortunately internet orders works for some companies but not Powers, personally id rather stick with old school Trading that works, now if you want to buy Chinese st that's a different kettle of fish whistle

If there's one thing I've learnt arsing about with houses, the internet is quite possibly the worst place to buy anything that's even slightly engineering-related if quality is a factor. Chinese tat indeed.

PayPal takes 4%, I personally like to talk to customers, you can get a feel for what will actually be right for them.
Whats wrong with picking up the phone?

Same here, had some bits and bobs to buy, filled in an equiry form in the evening whilst browsing, got a return call next day, placed my order over the phone, delivered to my door next day. Nothing difficult about that.

Surely you go where the customers are? No problem with picking up the phone, but a lot of people won't.

4% on a £300 purchase is £12.00, pays for posting a fairly heavy items, could just put a 4% hike to compensate but I would rather not, plus costs of maintaining a secure payments website....

hi dom, why no(t) paying via paypal ?!
Why ? Because month ending Tvr Built cars with what ever parts they had left on the shelf, the old saying at the factory if it doesn't fit make it fit...

To be fair to Dom, it is his business to run how he likes smile It is useful to talk to someone, make sure you have identified the right part, maybe even get a heads up if it could be something else causing the problem etc.

The thing about running a business is it quickly becomes clear if you're doing it right or wrong smile

Personally I prefer doing it online generally and it may be a generalisation that things bought online are "Chinese tat" wink I understand that online shopping is quite the up n coming thing these days, I wonder if it will catch on?

Still up to your old tricks of dissing anyone who doesn't agree with you and rubbishing your competition by insinuation, Dom?
