Anybody else suffered with this?

Door pops open of its own accord for no reason. Doing it most days now.

Any idea of what's wrong/what to do to fix?

Had the same issue last year and it was actually fixed quit easily!

Screw open the little alloy plate which covers the door locking mechanism, there you will see a little contact plate. This contact plate is probably making contact and so triggering the door to go open, I bended the plate a bit further away from the contact point so it couldn't make contact to easily. This fixed the issue and I never experienced it after the fix!

Makes sure the emergency door release cable is not partially engaged so the lock mechanism does not close properly (remember there are two pulls if its the drivers door). Start by pulling the cable to open the door & then push it back home. If the door still opens when it shouldn't then start looking at the lock mechanism

Emergency cable works fine and pushes home nicely.

I've given the little metal strip a small bend, will report back.

Cheers guys biggrin

After doing a full rebuild mine was doing this, it turned out to be a bad earth in the passenger footwell.

Could be dodgy soleniod, I had something similar on my T350. You can get the replacement from Maplins for a lot less than it costs from a specialist.
