As title.

http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.p...

A good venue, plenty of run off areas, safe as houses and it'll put a big grin on your face!

We normally get a good handfull of tivs together which makes a great day.

Who's interested?

cool

You are a hero! What are you doing about your noise levels? I am a little nervous about the noise limit after last time, what are you planning on doing to yours?

Right I have booked off the 15th June from work. What is everyone else's availability looking like?

Mine should be fine. Mat the Smith thinks i might have a loose exhaust baffle. I happen to have a spare exhaust I bought a while back, so i will have a look at fitting that instead of my present one and see if it makes any difference. My car is fully decatted, standard exhaust and Clive Y, so quite similar to Peter's car, yet it is about 8dB louder.

Do you have any bolt on extra (ACT) silencers, Matt? Like these:

100dB but they only wanted to hear it at 4000rpm

I have checked the car myself and is around 106dB at 4500rpm frown

I will see if I am free on the 15th and maybe I will have to see about putting my original y-piece back in

Without, around 102 - 103dB with them on. I might give Bedford a call and see if I can take te car down and get tested on their meter scratchchin

Take the cans too.....be useful to have both readings. If you have a look at Bedford's track day calendar and suggest a day when they have a TD on, they will oblige I am sure.

For what it's worth, I have never even been warned regarding drive by noise. It is perfectly possible to see the noise meters around the track and pass them in a higher gear, and it's the drive by meters that the local council monitors, and that Bedford are bothered about.

My plan, should I just fail the static test, is plead past experience of not tipping the drive bys, and ask for a concession to be let on track, on the strict understanding i won't complain if I get the OBE (Order of the Boot for Excess noise).

Can't make June.

How about booking the Hethel trackday? July or August. Need to be pre 1995 cars though. Samy is '91 so passes.

You also need to be under 98 decibks static, though the drive by is 102. I did query it......
