Absolutely fantastic day, great to catch up with everyone.

Many thanks to all those who helped me bump start the car, and helped out with the other various issues. Alun I am still waiting for that picture to surface of me upside down in the Grief fixing the throttle cable.

Many thanks for the helmet loan Anthony, remember I still have it. I shall return it to you when I next see you or if you need it back I can put it in the post for you.

I need to get some time to go through my videos, will post up here once I have had a chance.

Here are some videos I have quickly thrown together, not a great job this time but no time to trawl through all the footage.

Pork for breakfast
First session of the day, last lap overtook 2 Porsches very satisfying for a TVR owner. I felt my work was done and returned to the pits
https://youtu.be/17ivAJCFM-A

Final Session
Having a bit of fun with a Exige and a Clio. Out of all the cars to spin off out of that three I did not think it would be the Exige!
https://youtu.be/Z4upwJdbO6I

Harry's Lap timer
Test video from my iPhone 6 using Harry's Lap Timer, quality not great but the overlaid telemetry is very interesting:
https://youtu.be/NUUzCOHVcJE

Ian's Griff
The epic sound of the JE engine, unfortunately the Go Pro audio does not do it justice.
https://youtu.be/18DnRinPMn4

Chris's Clio
Chris's Clio certainly handles much better than my TVR, what a fun car. Many thanks for the passenger ride Chris, hope you enjoy the video.
https://youtu.be/CaeC0fpewaA

A few pictures from the day including that stunning Aston DB2 and a rather tasty GT3 Porka.

Good effort Matthew, you're getting into the groove there.

Glad you enjoyed the drive Alun, as you know, it's a work in progress...........

Mathew, nice vids, someone teach me how to upload to youtube for when my son's not here! smile
Methinks a little "heel and toe' to smooth those down changes would be a great help. I'll show you next time if you want.

Had a super day!!!

Lovely to see a few familiar TVR faces, and great to meet a few new ones.

Matthew you are a super star matey, thank you very much for all the vids you up loaded. The Tiv's sound amazing.

God help youtube once I get my Go Pro and figure out how to up load!

Im still walking around with a daft smile on my face,
Peter your cars so quick, so grippy, as you mentioned earlier, it was so good to be around with TVR mates, so much more fun than on your own,
IT was an honour to drive three seriously sorted cars,
ive just been watching the vids, ive just worked the track out!!!!!!

I can't wait to go again with my car,

so when are you thinking of doing another one chaps,,,, it bugs me that we don't have time to walk the track,,,,,, thats really important if you ask me, the cars i drove were all so fast even a small dip in the tarmac has you thinking its a bomb crater!

Alun, I wouldn't want to walk the track it is 4.7 miles long. Brands Hatch Indy is another matter.

I will have a browse around later and see what trick days are around.

Mallory Park (near Leicester) was much more fun than 1.1 miles and 5 corners suggests - fast, flowing, almost all of the track available for overtaking (bar two corners, the esses and the hairpin), and is fairly central. We could all stay at Alun's or Ian's the night before clap (Or mine for that matter) scratchchin
Oulton Park has been on my wish list for a long time.
And I guess Castle Cooooombe would be fun if the noise limit was anywhere near sensible.
Donington is also on my list, but tends to be expensive or noise restricted.

Two things -
Its almost £30 cheaper for similar days booked through their own website
The noise limit is 100 dB. Ok, so only 1 dB lower than Bedford.

4.7 miles you say....... felt like half that in your car Peter,,,, yeah ok so you need a push bike, its juat nice to get to know the track at really slow speed, hurrr who am i complaining, I'm still buzzing from your car mate.
it'll be interesting to see what Dom can do with a standard engine and the Mbe Ecu, my cars miles behind you guys!

That is true Anthony but MSE run an open pit lane.

Also MSE run a very tight ship and are well organised. I have done dozens of TDs with them they are very good.

So what do you think?

I'll go with the flow................

I would be up for that. I think £170 is my absolute upper limit for a track day. The original £199 is just too steep for a track day IMO.

What dates suit?
