Sportmotive chassis

So that's materials, methods, design plus dimensions to accommodate non original powertrains. Remember DVLA require a new chassis to be of the same specification as the original.
All right but apart from that is it the same? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9foi342LXQE

Who the heck would tell the ruddy dvla that they had a new chassis fitted any way. An Élan is Still an Élan despite many having been fitted with a " Spyder " chassis, which is very different from Colin Chapmans original design.
indeed, don't wake up those people, it seems to be a great/better chassis, so who would complain, if I was in the market I would order a complete version, so chassis/engine LS (minimum 480hp) etc and new interior, maybe a bit like this for example.
great wheels and brake set etc, then you have a as new TVR but then 'better'
I presume this is one that Sportmotive did, up for sale, with 6.2 lt LS engine. Despite its spec, I feel they'll struggle to get £48k for it

Hi guys
Its my 'Sportmotive' Chim that's up for sale..sadly house renovations and boring real life stuff mean that I can't justify a supercar in the garage at present..maybe fancy a bit of a project perhaps..maybe another Chim or Griff that I can work on..
Having been working abroad alot for the last few years, it was great to finally attend a TVR meet at Burghley yesterday and look forward to many more..thanks for all the positive comments on the car too.
I've owned a standard 4 L Chim in the past and although I've never done a back to back test there are some definite differences in the Sportmotive chassis regards the way the car handles compared to how I remember the standard Chim.
Despite the huge power stats, it is much less tail happy esp in the wet. I spun my old one so easily on greasy damp roads it wasn't funny. Much more planted over rough roads. Cornering is terrific. Chassis feels rigid and secure when planting the foot down. It does not have that floaty feeling I used to get sometimes when driving the old one..felt great..like I was flying..till I realised I kind of was ' Hovercrafting' along the M74 !!..

Take it to a VMax, and get some performance figures... 0-1oo, 0-124, 0-150, 30-130.Its my 'Sportmotive' Chim that's up for sale..sadly house renovations and boring real life stuff mean that I can't justify a supercar in the garage at present..maybe fancy a bit of a project perhaps..maybe another Chim or Griff that I can work on..

I still have the acceleration sim software which I've used for Derek and Brummmie in the past.
So I could copy an existing Chim model, feed in your dyno graph, update the gear ratios etc.
I have enough data to even simulate different tyres, from Micky T drag, R888 or normal road rubber...
Send me a PM if interested....

Would also like to see my 5.5 by comparison.
