I applaud those of you taking the plunge for doing so - I genuinely wish you well.
Without people like you, the resurgent TVR might not be successful. So hats off to you.
Absolutely! I'd love to get back into TVR ownership, I'd be back into a Tuscan in no time!Without people like you, the resurgent TVR might not be successful. So hats off to you.
My fear is that that new TVRs will look too technical. And I really hope they pay homage to the amazing interiors of the Cerbera and Tuscan mk 1.

Assuming that ratio is accurate and assuming they get 300 deposits (realistic?), that's just shy of £1mil.
I will certainly be downloading their 2015/16 accounts and if there is any less than £1mil of cash equity showing then alarm bells will ring and I'll consider pulling my dipper out.
I can't temporarily use my tenants' deposits to play the stock market (knowledgeably or otherwise) so I think the same should be said for a car manufacturer, ie those funds should sit in a protection scheme of some sort and not be used to 'aid' the running of the business.
You won't be downloading those until 2017 by which time you'll potentially have both driven and specced you car?I will certainly be downloading their 2015/16 accounts and if there is any less than £1mil of cash equity showing then alarm bells will ring and I'll consider pulling my dipper out.

The fact that these deposits are returnable suggests that they will be separate.
What folk seem to be forgetting is that these guys are well known British based businessmen of long standing. Les alone has been a major player in the games industry for many years and founded Bullfrog with Peter Molyneaux which, if you know anything about games, should make your ears prick up as they more or less created a whole genre of gaming. He eventually ended up as European development VP at EASports so they're not going to want to destroy their reputations by doing anything underhand here.

Hang on found it! - god I know I have been negative about Edgar's venture but please don't let it descend into Moleskins levels of farce
"Fans of British sports cars have been shocked and baffled by the recent news that TVR's corporate slogan is to be changed to 'Orgasmic Living'. Some believe this is a bizarre demonstration that the company's new owner, Russian billionaire Nikolai Smolenski, is not the clever businessman many hoped but may in fact be a pubescent rich kid who learnt English by looking up rude words in the dictionary. To set the record straight, Sniff Petrol spoke to the man himself.
Sniff Petrol: Nikolai, thanks for agreeing to talk to us.
Smolenski: Boobies.
Sniff Petrol: First of all, we have to ask, what's the logic behind your new slogan for TVR?
Smolenski: Stinky bumcakes.
Sniff Petrol: You have to concede that many felt the previous slogan, 'The Spirit Of Driving', was more than adequate.
Smolenski: Poo. Hahahaha!
Sniff Petrol: And the cars themselves; can you reveal any more of your future model plans?
Smolenski: Hairy fannies. [laughs]
Sniff Petrol: So it would be safe to assume that TVR won't abandon its core values of raw performance and sexy styling?
Smolenski: You said sex. [sniggers]
Sniff Petrol: Nikolai, thank you.
Smolenski: Big dog's cock."
that's quite good. Just so I'm clear, you pay a £5k deposit on a car which you have no idea of the final cost or what it looks like?
Best of luck to everyone who has gone in for this. I guess for non lottery winners we can get a similar experience by giving £2K to our wives/partners/A.N. Other and asking them to pick a random car from Autotrader.

I guess my deposit makes it at least 10 now
I've owned and loved TVR for well over 10 years now...my current one has probably cost me what the new one will cost me to make it perfect...and it is and I will never sell it.
But I want a new TVR PW wouldn't put a v8 in a Sag (and I did ask at the time) so I didn't buy one as much as I loved its looks (regret that decision now ) but I cant justify the paying current value of them now when I am looking at similar money for the New LE generation TVR.
I think the right players are in place and it make good financial sense to take a punt (but then again I am a gambler and a hopeless TVR romantic)
