The other thread is getting long so I thought it might be worth starting a new one now TVR have released details of the deposit scheme...

Here's the email I received in full:

Dear TVR Fan,

We are writing to you to let you know that we will be officially opening the waiting list for the new TVR car at midday tomorrow, 7th July. This has been brought forward as as a direct result of the incredibly high level of interest which we have received since we announced our return to production in partnership with Gordon Murray and Cosworth.
The purpose of the deposit scheme is twofold; to help us plan our initial production quantities, and also to allow people who are genuinely interested in what is definitely the most hotly anticipated new sportscar in a decade to book a slot in the queue.

To ensure you will get your car early, we suggest that you place your deposit as soon as possible!

If you are a TVR car club member, you will benefit from a reduced deposit requirement - £2,500.00 as opposed to £5,000.00 (the retail price of the car will be the same for all who place their deposit with us). Please note that you must be a current TVR car club member, and have been for at least the previous 6 months, in order to qualify for the reduced deposit scheme. Please also note that the reduced deposit initiative lasts only until the end of July 2015.

At this stage, we are not releasing further details of the new 2017 TVR (codenamed T37), beyond that released in the press and on our website to date. This is not because that detail is as yet undetermined, rather because we will only announce specifications when we are 100% confident in their accuracy – this has always been our policy. However, we will be releasing details as they are confirmed via our website, through the motoring press and, of course, by email to everybody who has registered for information on the new car. Also, you can now follow us on twitter @TVR.

All deposits are fully refundable, should you change your mind. All we ask is that if you choose to place a deposit, you do so in good faith. We will let you know well in advance when specifications and pricing are finalised, at which point you will be asked to confirm your formal order - and at which point the deposit will become non-refundable in the usual way. Further FAQ's are answered in the NOISE section of our website at www.tvr.co.uk/noise

You can place your deposit either online at www.tvr.co.uk or by telephoning our deposit line on 0330 120 0032 – but please note that no further details of the car will be available on the deposit line!

If you have any questions regarding the deposit system please send us an email to enquiries@tvr.co.uk and we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.

We look forward to welcoming you to the next chapter of TVR’s history!

Kind regards,
Les Edgar
Chairman

I think they've not published anything to do with FAQ's in the noise section yet?

Really would like to know basic details, coupe or convertible, approx. price and roughly what it looks like.

Nevertheless, might have to drop a deposit.

If anyone is a TVRCC member and is still thinking of putting a deposit down now remember the discounted deposit offer for members ends 31st July so if you're intending to place one do it now before the offer finishes.

The deposit is refundable up until they release specs and you've had a few days to consider so nothing to lose if you're unsure.
