I've done the copy+paste, however, the Wiki needs to be made a sticky.
I've stickied it now smile

Cant wait to see some prototype pictures.
Neither can I.

Be interesting to see how all those depositeers (including me) get to see the new models, will we have a preview or will we see it after the press releases !!

To anyone sitting thinking "Should I, shouldn't I?" a quick reminder that the discounted deposit offer for TVRCC members ends on July 31st

If you’re a TVRCC member* and are thinking about placing a deposit on the forthcoming TVR at a 50% discount on the deposit required by non members then don’t delay to avoid being disappointed.

  • (You need to have been a member for more than 6 months to qualify)

Wonder how many deposits are still there.
I'm a die hard fool for the Marque and thinking about pulling mine, if Im think that, how many others are or have pulled the plug already. I've said it before but I really think they have messed up the strategy on this.

I've been thinking the same thing and i made my deposit within hours of it going live, the PR wagon seems to have fallen off a cliff. this is not good. even if the news is "no News at least tell us so we dont lose the faith

Sadly i'm thinking of pulling my deposit also. Sick of no information and the whole debacle.
Has any one noticed the picture this winner in the new Sprint magazine?

Is this an official tease? Doesn't look real!

No tease, just an S Series with a Cossie V6 lump, probably out of an old Ford Scorpio

I'm still in. I'll give it to the end of the year just out of curiosity.

A genuine question from an outsiders point of view - at what point does this become a bit of a joke? They've missed dealer previews, no notice on the promised deposit holders preview, no news other than a derelict factory, a lot of the communications aren't what I'd call professional - more written in a matey kind of way rather than what you'd expect from a brand new start up asking for several thousand of your hard earned?
I don't have a deposit down, considered it but I am so risk averse it was a no brainer especially when they confirmed it wouldn't even be protected.
If it weren't for the TVR badge would you all have still placed deposits? Not trying to knock things as genuinely I hope it works out but it just seems such an unprofessional and disjointed mess at the moment.

I've never bought a new car in my life (let someone else take the knock driving it off the forecourt)...until TVR i had never owned a car more than 2 years.
Nearly twelve years in and still have no intention of selling (so i bought another one just so i could sell that one instead lol but thats another story) the Marque has gotten deep under my skin and i believe L.E. has that same Buzz and i honestly think he "gets it" and that's the reason i made a deposit because i want to see new TVRS with the same character and presence and i think he and the team involved are potentially the right ones to do it...and they need faith that the market will want it so i put my head on the block so they could secure the funding to move it forward.
the PR started out about right, but lately it has totally stalled which puts deep doubts in any ones mind let alone those with money invested in this venture. AS i said earlier i dont care if its "No News" but they need to keep the contact going otherwise the momentum generated is lost..along with the deposits!.

Zippee. As above ,that's a pretty fair analysis of where i am with this. Had the faith in 1988 to buy a new TVR 'S' having had previous models in the past. I'm going to hang in there. The only gripe i have is that TVR should at least communicate even if there isn't any News, just to acknowledge they remember who put the Deposits down in good faith.

I'm fairly die hard TVR but never dreamt of placing a deposit to ensure I got an early car, been there before with TVR and they had experience of building cars...

I think this winter will see a depleting order book unless punters have something to spark their enthusiasm before too long.

Hope it doesn't wither and die before it takes its first real breath.

Well I sent a friendly mail to TVR this morning and received the following within a hour:

"Thank you for your email regarding progress with the new car. There will be another update very soon (before month end) which will go out directly to all depositors before being distributed elsewhere. In recent power trials with our lightweight drive train mule that exercises both engine and transmission, the performance has been exhilarating to say the least, so we are sure your flame will burn ever brighter once the new car is complete. Please accept our apologies for the delay in releasing this next update and we thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support."

Just goes to show they are happy to communicate, we just need to ask. Keep the faith gentlemen.

All well and good, but should you need to ask? How much effort does it take to group email all 'investors' once a month? It could be one paragraph, just to tell you a titbit of what had been done that month, a cropped picture of a detail ...that would help to 'keep the faith', wouldn't it?
But, as I said before, kinda nice in a way that they're devoid of marketing BS laugh

Wouldn't be too hard for TVR to setup a "Product Update" section of the website surely.

It would help to calm fears and keep us all re-assured.

I've been following this campaign for a while, whilst it's late on it's delivery at least they are willing to communicate progress over email and via the webpage:

Able to respond when specifically requested with nothing particularly tangible then.

And flame burning brighter for something I still don't know if I will be happy to look at?

Not sure... were you the author again smile

Haha, maybe my FakeLes email has shot me in the foot. No, this one is genuine and received only this morning. Truth is I have always been the eternal optimist until faced with the damning facts so for now I continue to 'burn the flame'. Come end of the month and no update and I will be phoning instead of mailing.
