Engine Mounts (again!)
Discussion
The problem with the supported mounts is that the metal cup absorbs heat from the manifolds and concentrates that heat onto the rubber. They also enclose the rubber so that heat can't escape. That is in my opinion why you see pictures of melted SCPower and other supported mounts. I'm replacing mine next week with standard TVR Parts mounts. It's an hours work, I dont mind doing that once every 50k miles or so. The supported mounts were developed to manage the torque from a 5l forced induction car. Normal cars are better served with normal mounts

Cheers Bob, where is a good place to get standard ones from? 🍻I'm awaiting delivery of mine from TVR Car Parts. You can find them cheaper but I'm always worried that cheap may mean poor quality Chinese rip off
