That's her ! I spent a lot on getting the engine better with an ACT triple plenum amongst other things, seats refurbed and generally sold it when I had most things sorted. Loved every minute with her. I have to 'make do' with a Z4 35iS now. The TVR went to pay for building works ... sold to a bloke near Farnham who offered it back to me 2 years later.

Is she still yours or sold on ?

I have been trying to trace the previous owners, did you have the dash made with the Ali warning panel, everybody comments on it, I have finished it off with more Leven shiny bits, had the engine completely rebuilt by TVR Powers last February as camshaft was worn so I did not mess about, she also has AST shocks on her now, had some great times in her those photos are in the Black Forest, I have her up for sale but I am in two minds to keep her and have a re spray has I let my son drive it and he followed a car 2 inches from the rear on a newly gritted road and it looks like it has been sand blasted

If you sell it there won't be another like it ! It was in far better nick than any others I saw either before or after it !

It is looking good !!

No, I did not do the dash - the keeper before me did that. He had the number plate V8 GBR on it. He wouldn't sell it so I wanted something similar - thus V8 GRN (V* GRiN was my wife's idea as she sorted the plate).
I put in a new Stereo. Had the ACT work on the engine (which was the 2nd it had had !) with mapping and injector cleaning via Austec. The seats were re finished/sprayed and it went through 3 starter motors ... as they do ! I had a new electronic fan fitted with variable speed dependant on temp. The pre cats were removed and the exhaust straight through.
I got a refurbed badge on the boot and I have a feeling the nose cone was resprayed due to being peppered too !
I had the hood replaced with a new rear screen.
The only thing I never got round to was refurbing the alloys. I sold it before they got done. They weren't kerbed or anything, just eaten into by brake dust and I was going to do them.
The guy I sold it to was quite apprehensive but went on his gut instinct and bought it. I knew it was pretty much perfect but he didn't have that knowledge. I think after a while he must have realised I had spent a lot on getting it looking great. If it needed doing to it then I did it. A proper rebuild was on the cards but it went well after the ACT triple plenum and was putting out 285 on Austecs rolling road which was good for a normal cam.

I do miss it but haven't a garage that it fitted in sadly.

I really like the car and I am beating myself up about selling as it is a good one, I also had the outriggers renewed as they was rotten, since the engine rebuild it is kicking out 301BHP but it needs bigger injectors and a remap and it should get 325BHP plus, is that what the control box on the glove compartment is for variable speeds on the fans, not sure if it is working though maybe meet up and you could have a look, oh just remembered I fitted an Ali rad old one was leaking so had loads of money spent by me as well, if I kept it I would get a re spray and TVR power MBE to get rid of the pre-historic ignition system and that would release even more horses

I have a T350 as well with a 4.5 with 414bhp and 368lb/ft of torque so that is my problem plus I keep looking at Astons

I was going to put it on my Vantage but that doesn't seem appropriate!

Don't buy a V8 Aston if you want the same feeling of speed that you get with the TVR. They are much slower off the line due to the extra weight especially in 4.3 guise but that has some real advantages when it comes to inspiring some confidence. The Vantage is not slow but it doesn't have that 'oh my god i'm going to die' feeling that you get when you properly launch a TVR, the build-up of speed is more linier and once it is really moving they are much more stable. You feel as though it could comfortably do 170mph plus where my old Tuscan always felt nervous at 'European' speed even though it was beautifully set-up.

The Aston V8 engine feels like a Speed6 in delivery too, they love to rev and that adds to the feeling of speed, and as expected the overall build quality is just night-and-day compared to TVR. They really do feel beautifully screwed together and little things like the damping of the ash-try / door handles makes it feel much more special.

The Vantage is a sublime high-speed GT car with a nod to being a sports car. The Tuscan / T350 is pure sports car with a nod to being practical. That's the real difference.

And yes, I do still wish I had kept the Tuscan but to sit alongside the Aston, not instead of it.

I don,t like high revving engines and prefer one with loads of torque, my T350 has Powers 4.5 with 414bhp and 368lb/ft of torque which I really like, I like the look of the Aston and it would have to be a 4.7, I will just have to see how things go with the sale of my TVR,s I just don,t know what to do

It was very good as you set the temp the fans come on at ; low speed or high speed.

I haven't had a PM ... so if you sent it and still haven't got mine it would seem PH are the villain !

Oh I see not sure if it is still working, does the screen light up and you set the temp when the fans come on by the up and down arrows at the side

I have checked my account on here and my email number is correct, apparently this happens quite a lot

Just had my last post removed because I wasn't thinking and it did look a bit like an ad. The point I was making was I have a tvr with a V8 numberplate, ok, not a tvr one. I do want to sell it and put my normal one back on because to me the w reg means more to me than the V8 plate. Sorry to piggy back on this forum but does anyone know the process for selling and claiming back original plates? If I do advertise it it will be through classifieds legitimately.
