I have constructed some trumpets on theory of pulse tuning, using cam timing figures and trumpet length, and it seems to have worked.
Before and after on the same hour of the day, we had some severe tyre to arch interface on this day thanks to my big fat Pirelli track tyres, last reading on this dyno was 565bhp without tyres being shredded and rubber all up the side of the car, so who knows 15bhp loss on the day was probably this.
But before and after on the day is what Im interested in.

It has 500hp plus from 4800rpm, and was still making 575 at 6800rpm where the old trumpets were dying off, there is more with tweaking looking at the AFR, trumpets cost me less than £100 so cheap powwweeer!!

Great when a plan comes together. Love this sort of stuff, wish I had more time to play with mine. Was that with the airbox fitted? Perhaps next is pulse tuning the reflected pulse off the airbox opposite the throat and plenum/airbox volume tuning.....

No Airbox these days just filter socks, but i am looking at using the bonnet as the lid, and making it a cold air enclosure..

Understood filter socks were the devils spawn in the tuning world, having large impact on power... Did you get figures with and without socks on?
It's not that you don't have good power but more power is better, no hehe

The socks i use are long ones that cover 4 trumpets in a row, on the shorter set up not much impact at all, this graph is no trumpets on either, however the filters wont fit over the new trumpets without them sucking down to the bellmouth, so its either build a cage to house all of the bodies and build a filter around that, or build an airbox using the cold air scoop.
