I have an S1 which does not have anything to keep the door open when entering / exiting the car and this can be a pain - hilarious to onlookers too. This also re-inforces the TVR is a kit-car miss-fact.

Do modern TVRs have this problem or do they have a device - if they do a photo would be good.

Modern TVRs? hehe

I use a foot & arm combination on the Chimaera, works OK for me!

nah, there's no device on T cars, the door opens closes depending on the angle of the hinge to the centre of the earth biggrin

So a device to tilt the world on it's axis is required?

Magpie, I know what you mean, it can be a little embarrassing sometimes

The OH cant open the door unless the Earth is at the helpful angle to the hinge, and if its too helpful it might soil her dress or knock her down, so I always get in first to push the button and hold it open smile

On a T car, the wing mirror is the last place you would choose to apply leverage to overcome the Earth gravity field, the mirror unseats before the door opens! its a hilarious compromise for the sake of aesthetics biggrin

I want a dihedral synchro-helix actuation system, just like this:

Oh yeah... maximum hilarity for onlookers and thus maximum embarrassment for T car guys happens when the lock/pin is a bit cruddy... we claw at the door like a pet cat/dog... or like we are looking for a handle that clearly isn't there... unknowing passengers do it when trying to get out, LOL! biggrin
