Just got back from a 2000 mile road trip through France to Italy (in the Toerag unfortunately rather than the Tuscan). Not been to Liguria before but for anyone contemplating that kind of trip, the TVR would be a blast. The A10 Autostrada from east of Genoa / Portofino heading west to the French border at Monaco must have over a hundred tunnels. It could actually get a bit wearing with a non-standard exhaust and also has some very high bridges so not one for those with vertigo, but what a stretch of road. I can also highly recommend Finale Ligure / Finalborgo / Calice as a great place to stay although local traffic and parking a bit of a 'mare in August. Nothing too exotic on display in Monte Carlo when we were there (landside anyway), Maseratis seem flavour of the the month.

Now, how many years till we get rid of the kids
