after many years of ownership and countless attempts to cure the age old radio reception issues i have finally found the perfect solution.
My last attempts were two screen mounted power amplified units that were still pants and having just had my windscreen replaced i needed to remount or replace them.
a little interweb trawling came up with this:
DAB/FM combined aerial

Initially i was looking to mount it in the nose or behind the seat, but when it came and i connected it to the radio without connecting 12v to the amp i instantly got DAB reception in the garage...So it doesn't need line of sight!.
I have mounted inside the boot and even without amp power with the boot lid closed and in the garage i have perfect DAB reception. I found an ignition live feed down by the door lock so it was a simple install.

I found a very similar solution for my Cerbera:

Aerial is hidden in the boot up the nearside B pillar. Works well.

I assume you need to attach an earth lead to the base?

Yep I ran an earth wire from the mount nut to the nearest negative I could find
