Hello!
Can anyone suggest a place in West London (south or north) to buy a replacement battery for a chimaera 450?
Oh they must be able to install!
2nd question! The seat belts are they from a Vauxhall? I need to replace the passenger side.
Many thanks for any assistance

David,
followed up on my original response to your enquiry on TVRCC.

Have you been to: http://www.securon.co.uk/index.htm - click road vehicles - Chimaera is listed.
They used to sell to individuals, maybe 'phone them?

About 6 weeks ago I picked up a new Bosch battery from Euro Car Parts after a thread on the subject here on PH. I made sure the one I chose had the higher cranking ability and the order was placed online and confirmed in 30 minutes by phone, by a human yikes

Battery takes no more than 20 minutes to fit if you mark the corners of the battery box on the floor of the car thumbup

I'd expect a Euro Car Parts store to be near to you biggrin

Thanks Nick, I will give those guys a wee call.
On the battery - which Bosch did you order?
I will order it up but a garage will need to install.
My hapless ability with electrics, in fact any car maintenance, is not
my forte. Also the car lives in a very secure, but cold garage with no power
for lighting.

David

Dear Mr Ghost,

I will order one, I might even have a go at fitting it.
Actually I am lying - a garage will..
All I need now is an audio person to rewire my stereo in
A 67 Daimler!
Thanks again

OK, Guys, been to Tayna website and found this:

https://www.tayna.co.uk/072-Enduroline-Car-Battery...

I've used them a couple of times - last for my son's Audi A4 estate. Absolutely first class service and I believe, best prices too!

So about this mobile audio chap!
Seriously thank you to everyone who responded.
I will hopefully have a garage lined up for battery & the belt.

From new..,
The Daimler is sitting doing nothing!

If you need a recommendation give Dan Taylor a call, based just off J5 of the M20 in Aylesford. I was there last week and I'm sure Dan could do the work you need to get the car as you want it thumbup

David,

If you have a look through the TVR parts list in the classifieds there is a set of seat belts for a Chimaera available that may be cheaper than getting them from an autofactors thumbup

Hi be careful taking the old safety belt out. It is easy to shear the bolt holding the lower bracket that fixes it to the P/S outrigger. It will be rusted in and tight to get out.Try soaking in Plusgas before trying to untighten.

Another option is to cut all of the old webbing off the bracket and just drill the old bracket in situ with a new hole to take the new bracket, so it will be a bracket bolted to the existing bracket. It gives more room and manoeuvrability and saves the hassle of a bolt shearing and having to get the old bolt drilled out and re threaded. The web site listed above have the exact replacement
