Friday afternoon on our way north up the M6 to the Rusty Nail Run we pulled into some services north of Manchester with my Tamora running really well. Sarnies and tea later Mrs Bobhon gets in the passenger seat ready to go, I turn on the ignition and..........the passenger door clicks open. Close the door do the ignition again and the door does it again, and repeat several times.

Close the door leaving the ignition on, select first gear and ......... The door opens again, and again, and again.

Half an hour of trial and error and we are going nowhere fast.

So I called Jason at Str8six for any help he can offer. He talked me through what it was and how to fix it. 10 minutes later and we're on our way with everything working properly. Words can't express my gratitude, without Jason's help I was looking at losing a great weekends TVR driving.

P.S. If this happens to you then find the door control module in the passenger footwell. Unplug it from the harness. Plug it back in after a couple of minutes, job done. Yes it really is "turn it off and back on again".

P.P.S If you get the chance then do the Rusty Nail Run. 32 TVR'S driving round beautiful Scottish scenery over a full weekend, just great.

He has helped a friend of mine out on a Sunday afternoon when he was stuck at Spa and myself at 9 on. Friday night when stuck in Reading.

Both times got us mobile again.

It will happen again and could become more frequent, but hope not. Was the passenger side door properly closed. If it's a Meta system it has its quirks. Mine will lock unlock lock unlock lock unlock LOCK if the passenger did not close his door fully shut. Good luck.
