Hey guys and girls, I'm doing a full body off restorationo on my Cerbera and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on what paint to use on the chassis? I've seen people use Por15 and I've also come across Epoxy Mastic 121.

Any experiences would be much appreciated.

Billy.

once you have painted it, before putting the body on I would apply 'Denso Tape' to all of the areas that cannot be seen or are the usual corrosion points. This grease impregnated cloth is used by utility companies to wrap and protect steel pipes that are then burried in the ground. Works a treat but is horrible to handle (gloves required)

Grand. What prep work did you carry out before applying? Oh and can you give me an idea of how much you used.

Take a look at Joton paints, I sprayed mine with epoxy mastic 2 years ago and it still looks like new.
It's the same stuff as 121 but I didn't like the colours they had on offer so chose Joton as they had white.
My chassis was sand blasted then sprayed no need for under coat.
The por15 paint is good but can be a pain to apply on bare steel.

Lots of info and choice here

Scroll down past all the pics and a post of mine lists international 2 pack epoxy paint. Fantastic stuff.
