If there are about 31 million cars on UK roads, I was wondering how many as a percentage were of our favoured marque.

I think the most common TIV was the Chim with roughly 6k machines made, so can anyone make an educated guess how many TIVs in total now remain?

I only see a handful each year out and about in general.

So about 17k made, thanks. I've just been on howmanyleft.co.uk which separately quantifies taxed and sorned for each model (including a category called missing (?) for which 880 taxed).

My efforts show a rough total of about 7.5k TVRs taxed in summer, so that number on the road at least. So with the assumption of 31m of all UK cars (which is probably way off by now) that gives a figure of 0.024% being TVRs, or one in 4100.

Yes, I will never get this time back but at least I was given an extra hour to play with today.smile

Ummmmm 44% of all TVRs still remaining, taxed and in UK does not feel right............perhaps the 17,000 is incorrect. Expect someone will be along shortly with more information / opinion type

I guess the Tuscan being described as MKII is saying the M1 IS THE 60S Tuscan the earlier cars are obviously missing from that list so add about 4700 pre 80s cars to that and about 2300 wedge shaped cars if Wikipedia is correct and 2500 s series before the Griffith so add 9500 to that lists so that's makes over 21000

Apart from being inaccurate in many places (high on Sagaris and low on Griffith & Chimaera for example) that table is referring to Peter Wheeler cars only and obviously doesn't include any Wedges.

You need to read my post that's why I was adding the others to it as the table did not include any Martin Lilley era cars or Trevors era cars I was roughly adding them together wedges although Martins era where also Peters era as well

Sorry to be slow.
Actually no, the Mk1 is the 2000/2004 Tuscan and Mk2 2005/2006.
